As I said before, I just got out and you are completely wrong. I can get other board members in the military to tell you how wrong what you said is :mjlol:. Where you are from has NOTHING to do with how much money you get for BAH.

Lol I already admitted that I don't know the details breh. If it means that much to you get people to cosign you. But I already addressed it. :manny:

It has no role and everyone on this board who is in the military will tell you the same :mjlol:. Your friend's disability amount depends on where he is living RIGHT NOW, not where he joined from. The only thing that is affected by where you join from is the 9/11 GI bill since you get full tuition if you're a resident of that state. /thread just leave brehette you clearly know nothing on this topic:stopitslime:.
So you admit that it does have an impact in certain scenarios. Thank you breh. And I'll stay and reply as I see fit. Thanks again.

Are CTN jobs usually available? Isn’t that also considered IT?
You might have to wait at MEPs for 6 months. They are available though. Your recruiter will try to game you and tell you that CTN isn't because he will try to give you a job that needs to be filled. What you need to do is let him know that you aren't willing to join unless you get that particular rate. At that point he'll stop pressuring you to get other rates and will give you CTN. Never believe these recruiters breh, all rates have openings. It's just that some rates need more people than others so he will try to fill those rates first.
CTN deals more with global networks, cyber security, and cyber attacks while IT people act as system admins on a ship. CTNs get better training and result in wayyy better job opportunities when in the civilian world. To give you an analogy an IT would be like geek squad (where you go to get your computer fixed or they fix network problems at that immediate location) while a CTN would be like a person monitoring multiple navy networks. CTNs are cooler and generally get left alone by the rest of the navy. ITs still gotta deal with the bullshyt that their ship is doing. For example if the ship is doing fire drills they still need ITs to be a part of the drills whereas CTNs tend to just do their job and get left alone:yeshrug:.

Been thinking bout joining the Air Force or Navy. With the way he’s handling this wall bullshyt, is it even worth serving my muhfuggin country anymore? :lupe:

The situation in the Middle East has calmed down tremendously, but I think there’s something waiting to happen in Asia (NK, China) with the impending trade war. Can a breh make it through four years without any major conflict popping off? :lupe:

Yea, feel free. We fought all the wars already. You’re welcome

I bet people signed up under Obama thinking it would be an easy ride, then BAM! He starts a war in Libya and Syria :mjlol:

Just do it man, you have 0 control over whatever happens in the military or the world :manny:

He also (as a senator) pushed for the 911 bill (everybody bill) which can send you to any Ivy League school with a top up kicker, blue ribbon program Which made it possible for a brother like me to get my third degree. Free. While being paid to live rent free. For four years. Oh, he also put in provisions for us in the VA system so I can continue to get money and healthcare. Oh, that means my kids go to school for free

That made no sense and is completely wrong. BAH affects you based on where you are stationed. If you are stationed in a high cost of living area you will get paid more. Also, when you get out and go to school you can go to school wherever you want so "where you join from" won't make a difference. I would know, I literally got out 1 month ago.

True, to an extent. My daughter was in Cali so guess what I got paid for? Other stuff is true

If he was done one thing it's increased benefits for the military. I say do it. Before you join find a vet who has 100% disability so they can get you on game. Trust me don't go into the military without a plan. Also were you apply makes a difference in your pay. So try to join in a place with a higher average rent.
Well with the air force your pretty safe... it’s the boots on the ground trump putting in harms way..

Also air force got the finest hoes hands down

Ask away. I guarantee I got an answer.

Uh, that’s not necessarily true either there hawse. I saw more combat than the average Army or Marine guy. Plus I flew

Joining the army for the benefits and training is like doing the work of Satan for the bread.
