Man I tanked the phone interview.

Mentally drained. Just crapped out :snoop:

EDIT: I think I need a little 3-4 day trip to mentally clear my head. Things have been hectic over here. Step back a bit and revise my strategy. I can land another position within the next 3 months or so and it's not like I'm unemployed.

I'm still in pole position for a promotion and raise.

Lesson learned. Always have multiple opportunities in the pipeline. I went pretty hard on this company because even if I got offers elsewhere, I'd take this one. That, and this company reached out to me first.

I need to go somewhere warm.

What type of role was it?

Has anyone looked at AMD/Intel/NVIDIA stocks for potential growth in the AI, Machine Learnning, and eGames sector. AMD is starting to push more into GPU. I'm thinking of purchasing some stock with them.

I think I'm going to pick up a used 3 or 4 Series BMW in 2 or 3 years, something 2015 or 2016 model year. I'm seeing some examples for sub 20k and by that time I have that amount on hand and can have an internal debate about financing one or not. Before that, though, I need to get to a company that's not a tightwad like mine is :hhh:. My yearly bonus has me wanting to throw hands with upper management. My raise (haven't seen the figures yet) will probably be equally insulting. I'm going to try to work a few avenues to pull a promotion or two before I gracefully bow out.

Planning on launching my small business, in transportation/logistics this fall. Initially it was going to be just me fronting all the money, but now 3 of my brehs from back home were thinking of the same thing, so we're planning on going into business together. Starting the multi-member LLC, pooling our money in the business account etc.

On one hand im cool with it because to me its similar to people going in together to but an apartment complex, and everyone is paid based off how much they put in. Then on the other, its 4 of us and im sure someone is bound to bump heads down the line:francis:We're all active duty military, but im getting out next summer

A co-worker is telling me his experiences going into business with a friend and how he basically got burned. The guy had mad personal debt and caused the business to go under.

What's yalls opinion on this? Im all for black group economics, but at the same time want to make the best move

There really is no reason to wait until this late to start looking for work straight out of UG. My sister got her full-time offer to start in July 2019 back in September 2018. Good positions go fast.
Yep! I'd tell people to try and lock down a position as soon as junior year and intern with companies, if just for 4 weeks, to get a leg up.

Never experienced this in any other place I worked but not only does my manager give me a mid year and a year end review but I also do the same to my manager. I also have to select 3 to 5 ppl I work closely with to give me a review and vice versa. So when I logged into my HR site just now, I have a queue of 5 of my coworkers who also need a review from me. Definitely some new shyt to get used to lol.

Had 2 phone interviews today. First one went great and they sent me an email for an in-person 5 minutes after it was over. The second one went pretty well, but the guy was on speaker phone or something and kinda hard to hear.

How do you guys schedule interviews around your jobs? It's supposed to be 2 and a half hours. For NYC people, I work in LIC and the interview is in Soho.
