6 figures, 6 certs brehs, How did you develop your work ethic? Was it from your parents? Was it something you worked up to or is it something you had to fight for?

I say this because I'm hard working, but in waves. I'll have periods where I crush things, then others where I'm doing a little more than required. As I'm aging (23) I'm realizing there's less time for me to really get what I want out in life. Time is now and I really want to develop my work ethic.

EDIT: Hard work and discipline/dilligence

@Cynic @Listen
In my first year of college ... I realized where I would end in my 50s if I
stuck with convention - this made me starve for achievement to an extent.

Now I see life as measured in milestones..so I sort of push until they are
achieved then pick other challenges to keep the dendrites sharp afterall
if you aren't growing - you are dying.

All I will say is

Cut all non-income producing activities ... ( if money/assets/disposable income are your targets)
And to remember procrastination is the abortion of success. ( FAIL FAST!)

My work ethic is part of my personality. I'm a very focused individual and very task orienteted. So I typically pick an objective, form a plan and work towards that goal in the most efficient manner.

You are 23 you have a lot of time, but its never too early to start sowing, so create some goals for yourself, look at a end goal objective, and plot out how you want to do that and making steps to reaching that goal.

Life hit me hard this past month. But the silver lining was I got a firm slap in the face to level up. I'm only looking up from here on out.

Took yesterday off from work to screw my head back on and really think about where I see myself progressing in the coming months and years. What kind of life I want to live and how I want to be "moving".

6 figures 6 cert gang, question for y’all.

Is it possible for me to get a car loan say for 4 months? I have enough to put down for 50% of the cost but will need about 3 months to get the rest of the cash together. I could possibly wait for the remaining 3 months but I definitely need a car to move around in the meantime. I am not a big fan of having long drawn out debt payments, so I’d rather have the shortest car loan possible. Most places I’ve seen will only allow for a 36-month loan period and a lot of financiers will not you to pay off your loan early.

EDIT: I'll just save up and buy a car cash. I should be able to get a 2008-2009 Accord for close to 5.5k in cash. No need for me to take on a car loan. I got the DC metro so I can still move around and such. I'll just be less mobile. Probably gonna be better for me. I'll have to budget my time much better. There'll also be more financial discipline on my end.

I'll also get to do more walking so :ld:

Read the loan agreement. You can get a loan for any length and pay it off sooner. Some loans will charge fees for doing so however.
