How long should I wait before I follow up with the recruiter after a job interview? The interview was on Friday.

US economy is definitely close to a recession. The question is when will it occur and what will the magnitude be?

What jobs will be on the cutting board and what skills should people look to gain to remain competitive once the recession does hit?

:lupe:

Got a raise :ehh:. Going to get another one in a few months. With any luck that will have me knocking on the door of 90k. If things work like I want them to I can swing that raise, swing a promotion that comes with a raise, then swing yet another raise on that if these organizations make the right changes. If that happens then I should be North of 100k with only 2 years in the industry. But that's predicated on everything happening right.

And now the interview I was supposed to have tomorrow has been canceled because the role has been put on hold.

The L's keep on coming.
Its like that sometime, try to focus on what areas you are weak at, look at the local market and see what is in demand and try to take classes for free or at community centers that correspond to what you are looking to do. A lot of times its that networking that will get you a job because most jobs aren't even posted. I helped two friends get positions by just refering them to the PM because I knew an opening was coming up.

So make a plan to continue to improve and try to go to industry education events to learn more and network.

Good luck

Happens breh. Start with something small and let it snowball from there.
I'm in the middle of a refactor and keep on questioning where to start and what's next. The easy solution is to just stare at the screen a little bit longer . But nah I just made some progress, extracted a few methods and cut down on maybe 50-75 lines of code. But I'm really just putting off making some logic changes that are going to require some thought.

6 figures, 6 certs brehs, How did you develop your work ethic? Was it from your parents? Was it something you worked up to or is it something you had to fight for?

I say this because I'm hard working, but in waves. I'll have periods where I crush things, then others where I'm doing a little more than required. As I'm aging (23) I'm realizing there's less time for me to really get what I want out in life. Time is now and I really want to develop my work ethic.

EDIT: Hard work and discipline/dilligence
