Mattress Firm a single business went out of business due to low sales as the market for their product has changed.Credit/Debt interlocks a lot of companies that on first glance may not be interwoven.
Example: Mattress Firm is filing for bankruptcy, it has debt obligations to it's creditors. It's creditors have expectations to use the loan payments from Mattress Firm to also pay off their creditors. When the cash flow stops coming then issues arise.
Plus you have a set of people that are out of jobs and could possibly deafult on their debt obligations etc.
