Expanding my portfolio to more CPG accounts and doing well thus far but still ambiguous about when the promo is coming :dry:

You know what feels productive even if it’s not really- clearing your saved and applied jobs queue on LinkedIn.

I should hear back from first round interviews by the end of this week, going to Houston for work and ideally trying to time for (if they want me) next round w/o Mar 4, could time my start May 5. @PrnzHakeem if I get an offer (FAANG) can I hit you up for tips on negotiating? I NEVER do it and this one is actually complex (relo, equity and stuff I never really had)

I have a few thousand that vests from my company match May 2 but not the worst thing in the world if I leave before.

Company is moving to 3 days in office. Tu/W/Th.

I’m already in M-Th and of recent, I’ve been going in M-F.

I’m old school but I really prefer the separation of work and home.

Also my commute is about 50 mins and I’m active for a good portion of it. It helps me get my steps in and also allows me 25-30min to read on the bus.

I haven’t used any PTO this year. I’ll have enough to take 2 weeks off, if I don’t use any until June 16th.

That seems really slow to me. Maybe I’m just used to working at places with unlimited PTO.

Unlimited is a sham, they just don’t want to pay employees out when they leave but yeah yours might be on the low end. Can you carry unused days over (into another year)

100%. Only take those unlimited PTO jobs if you’re gonna be taking at least 7-10 days off a quarter.

Studies show people in those roles actually take less PTO than regular PTO employees.

Our team is in trouble

Even though we’ve lost two senior people, they’re expecting growth? All our clients are tightening budgets and asking for more more more.

I can’t even tell you how many calls I’m on and pouring in hours to write these damn proposals (across teams) and costings and they come back like :yeshrug:

I passed the recruiter call and online aptitude test for a senior IT PM position at a big bank, now I’m scheduling the next (4!) interviews over the next few weeks. The recruiter said the pay is $158k base + 47k perf bonus. I found the job listing on another site, saying the base starting range was 158k-179k. I’m plotting how much I should I counter for if I get an offer
