Welp
I won’t jinx it but interesting prospects this far, wish me luck please

I did this last year-he became my new boss after I returned from mat leave, a LOT of people have no business managing-I asked for a new manager. TLDR he’s gone from the company but I had a new boss by June (and another by Sept but hats my company org shuffling).Any of y'all ever go above your manager's head to essentially say you need a new boss? I do very well here and get a ton of good feedback, but frankly my boss doesn't do shyt and isn't helping me in the areas I lack
Do what’s best for YOU/ and keep in touch with him as a mentorIm in interesting territory right now. Accepted a verbal offer but I'm not entirely sure. I got poached by a friend of mine that works for the company and I ended up doing a presentation and getting to the final round.
Id be making at least 40k than what I was making priorIn addition to that it's a competitive stock.
The problem is I'm leaving a company I left and came back to, but in a different role. My boss now is a brother which I NEVER had in my career and I see him as a potential mentor. I don't want to screw him over but I'm also wondering where I should go in the fork in the road.
These decisions always get me![]()
Lmao so unprofessional- no response so the role must be filledDoing my self-evals to also help with improving my uh externals
Role I was invited to apply for Big Tech is gone- that recruiter better let me know wassup, don't get my hopes up damnit
He gave me his blessing actuallyDo what’s best for YOU/ and keep in touch with him as a mentor
Please tell more if you canLayoff day!
Sitting in a Google Meet with the rest of the team shutting down accounts as HR gives us the go ahead

JesusWhat do you want to know? I’ve only been at this place for 6 months. Earlier in the month, there were rumors of layoffs coming.
Last week HR gave me and the rest of the IT team access to the list of people who were going to be laid off and the times when their HR meetings would take place, 15-minute intervals.
When it was time to start, we hopped into a Google Meet and went down the list shutting down accounts together. Some stuff is automated through Okta, but there’s custom tools and things we had to shut down manually.
There were a few layoffs in November when they made changes among the c-level execs.
At this point, I’m just trying to upskill and get a better job. I was unemployed for 6 months before I got this one and it pays 30% less than my last role.
