I reupped this Leet Code premium. I think this time I'm going to give less of a fukk trying to solve a problem all on my own and just jump right to the solution when shyt starts to piss me off. It's easy to grasp what needs to be done when you already see the solution, so I should internalize the stuff quicker :manny: .

Companies have to be banking on the job market being trash for a long while to pull stuff like this. They are creating everlasting beef with employees.

Just bombed a technical interview. Didn't realize it was going to be so Linux and AWS heavy.

Surprisingly, I did better with the AWS questions than the linux ones. But they got progressively harder until I had no context to even guess.

The salary range didn't match those questions at all. 80 - 100k. Smh
Got a follow-up call with the recruiter about this role a bit later today. Not sure if they're one of those companies that rejects final candidates with a phone call or if it's going to be a job offer.

It was a rejection. And it's their policy to not provide feedback.

She asked, "Do you have anyone non-feedback related questions?"

What type of questions would I even have?

Same companies that were talking about being a family and looking out of their employees physical and mental health? Those employers? The ones who were crying about lack of candidates and begging for anyone with a heartbeat?

They can go fukk themselves.

A friend of mine was interviewing for my old job, but didn’t get it.

He had an in-office interview. He met the office manager and an HR person. They sat in the kitchen where other people were around and he met them too, but they weren’t part of the interview.

My friend says the office manager kept getting up to get the lunch deliveries (there’s usually 3 a day). And then he’d be sitting there with the other people and it’d be awkward.

After getting rejected, he asked for feedback, the recruiter said it was his communication. My friend doesn’t have a problem communicating. He’s a charismatic dude who I worked with twice before.

Going to see if I can squeeze my current company into paying for a workday pro certification.

I’m overworked and nearing my limit. :sadcam:

The last 6 months have been more and more work. Had a hiring manager comtact at a company who I was planning to hit up for a job but he recently moved on. I gotta start seriously looking.
What's preventing you from asking for time off or more resources?

It’s one of those situations where it’s easier to be at work than to take time off and prepare/prep.

If I’m sick I return to a shytload of work. I have asked for more resources but my boss’s boss is not aware of all the shyt I’m doing.

I get it, I'm in the same boat.

Lean team, single point of failure, etc etc. As long as they paying you appropriately or the role fits your development goals.

But take that time off, the work will always be there. (My wife tells me this, but donI listen? No)
