I'm in a better mood now, probably because she's off today :heh: I won't front though, she has streamlined a lot of processes that allows for more efficient work, she's just always promising shyt.

Starting a rework project next week. Originally data was pulling from a spreadsheet where end users made constant updates, so visualizations were screwed up month to month. This time one of the developers is supposed to build a user friendly front end that allows them to make updates, but still keep the data structured in the back end.

Rework sucks, but also a learning opportunity to get it right the second time. I also have the confidence to be more vocal in my strategy because I've made as many mistakes as one could. I built a sample Qlik data model that should address any expansion of current data and if we ever get to an automated phase and a prototype app that aligns with the new corporate designs. This should save 50% of the conversation and leave the focus on getting the front end designed.

While almost everyone was working on hackathon projects, I was meeting with a salesbreh from Okta. I got legal to review everything and coordinated with the chief of staff to get the VP of eng to sign off on it.

I had the salesbreh throw in the training pass too. And I didn’t ask for permission. It was $1750. I’m gonna get those Okta certs.

Late, but hopped on the ChatGPT wave and I'm highly impressed. My first order of business was reviewing those questions for the Qlik exam I failed what seems like a million times. According to this I was LOUD and WRONG. Even the answers I thought I was sure of were not the answers I put. What I like about it, is when it has the information, it explains why the answer was selected, which then makes sense why my answer was wrong. It's cheating with a purpose.

I have too many requests in an hour lol, but I have about 10 more questions to review and I feel confident in trying that Qlik exam again before the end of next week. I hope I pass and I can get my manager off my back.

I was remote today. I didn’t put a sign up in the conference room last week about the camera not working, but I did put a message in Slack. The COO messaged me and said the exec team wasted 10 minutes changing to another room.

And now I just got messages about the Wi-Fi in the office being slow. I’m not really sure how to fix this issue. There’s some settings I could try changing. And there’s part of me that thinks there’s too many access points for the size of the office. But I really don’t know what I’m doing here.
