I filled out my PMP certification app last week and I hope it's approved. If so, my goal is to take the exam around mid-October. I'm scheduling the Qlik BA cert for 9/30. Ideally, I'd land something that didn't start until the new year. Leave here by end of November and take the entire month of December off.
Not necessarily in a rush, but this new manager is just too old school in terms of schedule. I will say with my old manager I used to do a lot of work in the evenings or weekend mornings, but I didn't mind because it offset time I was using for personal reasons during the normal work day. Now, I shut my PC down and don't even touch it until the work day begins.
But I want that. I liked building dashboards without slack going off every 5 minutes or someone slapping a rando meeting on the calendar. I got to do all my scripting, modeling and testing without interruption. *sigh* Can it be that it was all so simple then?

Interview went well. I’m guessing the offer will be 250 - 300k OTE.
Another recruiter reached out yesterday. Told them I’m based out of LA. They asked if I’m okay with corp2corp. I said yeah. They said cool. 100/hr. I look up independent consulting rates and I see the range is 100 - 500/hr for security work in Cali
