I use to work at a law firm long time ago, they stayed paying for any and everything. Gym, parking, WFH equipment, food, coffee, end of the month rooftop parties, they paid for my Ubers for almost a year. Bonuses and big holiday parties. Employee appreciation month nikkas was winning Gift Cards and PTO lol.
This was my last job lol..if only they could have kept the bullshyt i had to deal with out of it then I would prolly still be there.

what do they be doing or saying :lupe:
Often when they list the projects they’ve worked on or teams they’ve worked, if it’s not relevant to the role I’m tuning out. When they tell me they prefer to work with the product team or do inbound product marketing, I know they didn’t read the JD well nor listen during their phone screen with the recruiter, my team is aligned to sales and outbound product marketing. If they don’t say writing is a core competency/strength when the JD clearly says you need to be a PMM who is strong in writing/content creation. When they can’t answer a elementary functional question with the right answer. Etc

Ever feel like a company structures things in order to have you working with technology the industry doesn't want, just to keep you from leaving? It's about to be a bunch of us software engineers not doing any software engineering real soon :unimpressed: . We're being pushed into ServiceNow. The annoying thing is that I left my last team as they were starting to dip a toe into it, so I thought I had escaped.

management matters…my new team runs around like headless chickens sometimes, over communication sometimes looks like everyone is just firing from the hip without actually thinking things through.

And this all comes from our VP. Cool(ish) dude but mans is booty cheeks when it comes to managing. There is a lot of managing up with him and his direct reports.

so we just sent an offer to a breh we rejected :bryan:, but he was my first pick, and he's still down for the team, i think we connected and he really wanted to work for me...hopefully he accepts
LOL, how did that happen?

Was he a rejection? Or was he down on the list, hoping the top candidate would accept?
