Making sure to use all the benefits I can before the year is over.

Getting a bunch of courses, a subscription to the Washington Post, fitness app subscriptions, and a month of LinkedIn reimbursed

I love this thread/forum. TLR caps your salary desires at $30k max. They will have you thinking only Amazon jobs are available. I get sad talking about education and career there.

Mfs in here will have you looking at figures you didn’t realize were an option. Like wow they pay people that much?
what are some options for one to succeed in this industry? I am long overdue to learn Python.

"Pick a path and kick ass". IT is a very broad industry, so if you can narrow your focus down to a few technologies to kind of master, you can build up/out from there.

Python is great to know. LOL it's funny because my Master's program made me take python and I was heated. I never had a use for it in my roles and didn't keep up with programming like I should have. I'm happy I was forced :heh:

Even with Python you have to figure out a direction. You could doing development, working with etl processes or even a technical business analyst. What have you been doing so far and has anything excited you?

I had my own business but due to the pandemic, i ended up suffering. Things are better though as i am on the rebound. I have been told to stay in the IT sector. i want to avoid labor work but if i am not able to hold down a position, then i gotta do what i gotta do.

Awwww sorry to hear about your business. You weren't able to qualify for any of the forgiveness loans? Definitely stick with it. Technical aptitude is very useful, just a matter of aligning to the right roles/companies.

I worked for army contracting as a defense contractor and that's an avenue I plan to pursue in the next couple of years...like actually have my business designated to bid on fed contracts. I want to act as the project manager, but hire others to do the actual work. You could look into that if you wanted to like manage a call center yourself. More companies are moving operations online and contract out customer service.

Again, it's so many avenues to choose and in my experience it's better to narrow it down.

Can anybody help me reformat or relocate my usb on Mac? (Just for reference I was on apple help following things others did)

32GB was in MS-DOS FAT 32, was trying to restore but had no image/volume to restore to so I erased it and went to just MS-DOS FAT…now it won't locate on Mac sidebar...
