Redirected fam to think bigger, higher with their connection/skill set. Relieved but eh still some concerns.
recruiter just whooped my ass in negotiating. I wanted 10K more on top of the base salary offer and only got 5K.

I never tell my daughter "because of work", I always tell work "because of my daughter. I made the decision a while ago that I could be a single mother, manage work and life as well. I'm grateful for the journey thus far.
I can't work more than one job, I will be at the PTA meetings, I will be at every game, yes I can stop what I'm doing to pick her up, etc. Money isn't abundant, but we do ok. I'm really proud of me today.

Return to work in the start of the new year. Had a team meeting today where one person was vaxxed but went on a rant about how the mandatory vax rule was stupid. Just a reminder to myself that literal office politics are a thing for if/when I return to the physical location to work
I can get used to this interviewing thing....ive been interviewing ppl for a position that would work alongside me this week...i like that the candidates were referring to me as Mr. although I did tell them they can call me by my first name and its informal lol. I think I gotta couple more for next week.

Synopsis :
I got a contact that needs detonating Fuze exported to Sudan.
There are these mining contacts that have dynamite and detonaters but don't have a detonating fuse. We looking at about 1 million meters in length.
The issue is finding a person with a heavy enough mining background that will send me in the right direction.
Where you are in the world is irrelevant as long as you can find the Fuze and export it to the Sudan.

last work week of the year...im off from the 17th and go back to work on Jan 4th. I cannot wait.

I've been struggling to find a good routine with work and it's been causing anxiety. I had a follow up yesterday with my manager and he reminded me they are flexible, so I can do 4 hours doing the day and 4 at night if that works better *whew*. I have to keep reminding myself it's just the 3rd week, it will come together.
With that said, I'm doing a data review today and my manager thought it would be good to do some data deep dives in the future. I was struggling on this one project I was given, but mainly because I didn't understand shyt and trying to back into became overwhelming. Script written with variables, then you have to see how the variable is defined.
Payday is tomorrow and tomorrow is taking a long time lol

In my experience, Corporate environments lack black people, while government spaces, fed, state and local, are full of them. I've done mainly contracting work and been the only black/woman in a few roles, but the fed and state contracts are where I worked with mostly black people. I've only experienced ALL black people in smaller businesses (child care & roller skating rink) and no lie it was the best. Paid the least, but most comfortable work environment.
Might be looking at a job offer in the coming weeks. Unless I read the situation badly, which I have before, I think we're in there.
