tech has it's ups and downs, but the pay is
job market is stupid lit right now...got one company lined up where total comp is hitting for $260k+ for a fukking IC marketing role, these numbers usually align more to the tech side or director/head of level. plus there's an extra stock & sign on bonus this year
had two hiring managers hit me directly, skipping the recruiter screen and two companies dropped the presentation/assignment round to create a faster interview process cuz they were losing candidates too quickly
These companies throwing money with zero fukks given. Currently engaged with like 15 companies, gonna drop out of a few interviews once I finish meeting with hiring managers. Then One recruiter I been ignoring hit me again like the hiring manager really wanted me to reach out to you - he’s prepared to offer 180-220 base founding team also had a successful $2B exit some years back, but I’ve heard bad things about the company

Man, FB ruined all social media. LinkedIn has lost all professionalism as people bring their FB/Twitter habits to it. Got a very very strong YE review, much stronger than I expected tbh. Bonus looks like it’ll be funded at 1.2-1.3x of the target.
Now watch how a 2 week stay in Naija during December will somehow drain most of that money and it’s not like I have to pay for a hotel or rental car. IYKYK

If it's not some sob story or LGBT shyt, it's something like "I used to wear long sleeves to hide my tattoos at work, but now I wear t-shirts because my tattoos are an expression of who I am" or "I used to eat meat, but now I'm a vegan because I care for the animals and the environment".
