salaries in europe are shyt compared to the US the only places in europe with good salaries are actually london and Zurich. grad/junior salaries are 20-35k in london, i had to stop viewing CS Career Questions as it was giving me unrealistic salary expectation. good thing in london is at least that salaries scale pretty quickly i could double my salary a year from now when i switch jobs

Just curious. On Reddit there is a whole thread/section where users loan others money who are in need. If they don't payback the lender just puts in a refund through PayPal goods and services and gets their money back. I know everyone on this site isn't perfect or balling, so why not try the same?

@Pyrexcup damn man....European salaries are really poor. Is that your after tax salary? I do know Europe taxes at a far higher rate than the US so after taxes that is a slight more understandable, but even still.

So it's after hours and I'm at the office shooting out some emails concerning a next job. I got the 2 screen set up. Left screen my email, the right screen LinkedIn profile pages on various tabs. Mind you, my manager already went home. It's just me and my dude on the Corp Dev team.

Anyway, I'm typing an email and the VP of our team (my boss' boss) is leaving to go home (I wave goodbye) when she starts coming to my desk from behind me, asking what I'm working on. I have like 6 LinkedIn tabs on my right screen, but luckily my personal finance excel sheet was the "active" tab open.

I don't even look at her. Straight up tell her "working on some personal emails" (I was typing one out at them moment). I didn't want to close the browser cause then it looks sneaky, but I damn sure wasn't gonna turn around.

Once she left my boy on Corp Dev was laughing his ass off.

I'm just gonna pretend like nothing happened tomorrow

No its not this is a a standard salary in london for grad / junior level job yes you can earn more of course but the average is 20-35k you guys are looking at salary through an american lens

No salary is 27k pounds before tax. Even fb google amazon apple netflix pays lower here in Europe it is what it is
