I’m trying to practice patience while I figure out the next couple of moves. I low key hate this job because it’s boring, but it’s flexible. Two days working from home and sometimes I slide early and work the rest of the afternoon from home the other days.

I’ll be done school soonish plus being in bankruptcy, if I make more money that could get complicated. They also talking about modifying the telework policy, and if I can get a 3rd day working from home, I could tolerate it. Contract was just renewed so I know I have at least another year.

The 1st interview (phone) i thought i did a good job on but i got turned down :yeshrug: it was in Alpharetta anyway (not the greatest commute)

The 2nd was a recruiter, ill see what she cooked up early next week

Just had a phone interview with a 3rd company this week that looks very promising. Phone interview are so easy  i keep a tab open with the job description and i found the linkedin of a employee who does the same role, just feed the interviewer whatever they wanna hear. I should be speaking to the hiring manager next week.Going to brush up on some Excel functions over the weekend in preparation of making it for an in-person interview
Phone interview was on Monday, went well

Wednesday i was brought in for 3 rounds of interviews, 2 with both of the teams i would be a part of and then with directors of each team. I gotta say i was in my bag for this one, gave em great energy, very well thought out responses, relating past experiences and feeding them back to interviewers :obama:. Recruiter called back yesterday and said that everyone was really impressed:smugfavre:. Last step is to speak with the SVP today, i think ill have an offer by Monday :blessed:

The trucking game is an easy finesse for cash flow. But I want to share the good with the bad. If the driver runs 5 loads in 5 days, the truck should make between 2000-2300 a week, net. This is extremely doable. Once the owner (me) of the truck gets the check, ill send the driver half of it because we split the profit 50/50.

Well we gave him a credit card for breakdowns and maintenance ONLY. I made that clear. If he blows a tire or he's stranded, I don't want to get a call at 3 am when I have to get up for my own 9-5 In the morning. He's a grown man, pay for a tow and get back on the road:dahell:

Well we paid him yesterday and I checked his statement. He had 3 big purchases that were non-trucking related. I called him and he hit me copping pleas ":sadbron:Boss man Im sorry, just gon and take it out of my next couple checks." Got off the phone, calmed down and realized I need to make a contract for future drivers about their responsibilities and limits.

I was beyond angry. Still am. We got jugged by a 50 year old man, whos going through a divorce, behind on his mortgage and fighting for his kids in a custody battle:unimpressed:. Mind you if he just runs those 5 loads a week he can make 1,000 a week. But he hasn't been doing that. Mf want a check but don't want to work:gucci: Now I gotta walk a fine line between chewing his sorry ass out and having him in the truck long enough to recoup the money he spent. Im definitely looking for another driver.

Nikka 50 years old, stealing from 4 brehs on active duty military orders, who gave him an opportunity to make 4k a month:pacspit:. But we gotta hold that L for now.

Replace him.

Not only didn't he say he used the card for his own shyt, he didn't say shyt. If you hadn't looked at the statements he would have never paid you back. If you at 50 don't have the savy to not bite the hand that feeds you especially when you have a divorce, custody, morgage to think about.

Tell him what happens when you fire him... mfukker is going to be in a world of financial hurt if he keeps this up

I agree with you 100%. Only thing stopping me if the fact he has no incentive to repay us. If we get him out the truck tomorrow, now we’re assed out, stopping the cash flow. Even if I had a new guy vetted and ready today, it’ll take at least 10-13 days to get him to orientation and on the road. Then that first weeks check will be short bc he started 2 days later in the week, getting used to the dispatchers, etc

All the while we have the insurance and truck note coming:francis:

I told the bros I know we’re all upset but we may have to deal with him at least for 4 more weeks. To at least have 1k a week coming in, to pay bills, set up a reserve, hold us while we find a new driver etc.

It’s literally:birdman:status till we can come up with a solid move to get back on track. He just showed his hand and we gotta act accordingly

A thief...as an employee? Man, that's a tough call to make. I say cut him loose. No way you should have a crook on your team. If you can, see if you can take him to court. I understand wanting to recoup your losses, but you gotta put your foot down.

You gave him a company cc for emergencies and he's out here paying for personal expenses. That shouldn't fly with you breh...at all. If you can't take him to court, see how else you can recoup the losses. But you should cut him ASAP.

But you've learned a good lesson. For the next driver, have a contract drawn up on what and what the company card can be used for. See if you can get different cards with a per diem that resets every day. Say it has $500 for common emergencies, but anything over that balance would require your approval.

Had a 2nd interview with the company that had ole dude flabbergasted at my qualifications for a higher position instead of the one I applied for. They only made me an offer for the initial position though. Said they want me to learn their system 1st from the ground up. Following my intuition and turning it down even tho those around me playin' devil's advocate about just taking it cuz its a job on that "old guard" shyt :francis:

Didn't really want the job anyhow as I wanted to make a move more geared toward IT within in the healthcare industry. Ironically, had a quick app turnaround with a strictly informatics company for a phone interview next week for an analyst position. Gonna see how it goes :mjlit:

Had an interview with United Airlines for an info sec role via conference call and no one showed up lol.

I was sitting in dead silence with my notes in front of me like. :unimpressed:.

What do I do because I want my shot...? Should I message the Senior Security Managers via LinkedIn? I'm not connected with them on there but I have links to their profile in my email.
