Yeah I was putting some money into my Fidelity account to mess with some stocks but I been messing with the weed ones and they ain't been doing shyt lately. Plus any other random ones. Gonna cancel those recurring deposits. Then I got the rollover IRA from my old job since my new job I'm contract still and not eligible. I'm sure my funds are going down so I'll have to find a stable fund or just ride the wave cuz I got another 30 years to go anyways. Might just hold off on those deposits too. Been looking into the Forex lately but gotta learn much more cuz thats a risk also.

Ain't tryna take no trips until atleast October. Recent trips done hurt my pockets plus I wanted to take a short trip to NOLA also but I'm like that can wait anyways. Gotta see if I pay down some small CC debt and I'll be good.

I got a big trip to Nigeria in December. Ticket was like $1.8K alone. I'll still probably need to cop at least 3 domestic flight tickets while I'm there. I gotta massage my networks in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja. I'll possibly need to take a trip to Ghana as well :francis:

Good thing is once I'm on ground I don't have to worry about lodging, transportation and basic feeding. Money really will only be spend on family gifts and social activities, so it shouldn't be too bad. But yeah, all my other domestic trips have been postponed till further notice.

The trucking situation is moving extremely slow:mjcry:we got approved for the financing July 5, and still dont have a driver. I've gone through about 6 guys who claimed to be legit, and 15+ have flaked. Ive lost count at this point. It's new so im limping through the registration, license plates & paperwork process. Add in the fact im in a different state, working a 9-5 and it'll beat you down:francis:i had a guy lined up to go to orientation on Monday and when they pulled his background for the insurance he lied about some accidents and the number of previous jobs he had:snoop: im seeing that the turnover rate is so high with the drivers, its making me rethink if i want to re-up and get another truck once this one starts cash flowing.

The plus side is the numbers work out great. 14k down payment to cash flow 2.5k per month (net). 146% ROI, at the least:blessed: Even then, there's room for that net profit to become higher once we get better contracts and stop outsourcing some key items. They say the satisfaction is in the process and i try to keep telling myself that, and keep pushing:ehh:

Mentorship is so key in life.

"You don't know what you don't know". This is probably one of the realest quotes ever and why mentorship is so key. You need people to put you on game to what you don't know and or could have never known.

Real rap. I'm meeting up with one of the head clinic data engineers for a major hospital next week to chop it up with him. Ain't going into it looking for a handout or none of that. Just gonna pick his brain. If something else comes from it, cool. If not, at least I'll have gained mroe knowledge.

I think we as men sometimes make the mistake of not reaching out to OGs for advice. Or we aren't proactive enough with seeking wisdom.

I went out for lunch with a dude in our company yesterday and we were talking about business dealings and opportunities in entrepreneurship. I told him I was interested in getting into possibly the fintech or agro-business industries long term in Nigeria and that now I'm just building up my skill set for when I make that move. He owns a company that ships agricultural products from South America to US restaurants and stores. They're already in a restaurant chain that has almost 100 locations across the US plus they're about into Whole foods as well.

Dude was like: "Why don't you call these some firms/start-ups you're interested in and offer to do work for them remotely. No one will turn down free work. And for you, you get first rate experience of what the industry is like before even stepping foot down on ground. Even better, you're educated in the US and work in the US. They'll appreciate the caliber of your skill set and professional polish. It can be something as simple as designing and building out the their business growth strategy for the next 5 years etc."

I was like :ohhh::ohhh::ohhh:

I would have never thought about something like this to be honest.

You really don't know what you don't know until someone points it out for you.

I don't want to say my project lead doesn't know what he's doing, but this man literally hasn't got a clue. How are you going to raise a defect on a desired behavior :why:? We've known this will happen for well over a year now. It's exactly what we intended :snoop:. Some days I hate this guy.
