“I have the upper advantage right now [in negotiation position for a Joshua rematch]. I know that’s what he says [that Hearn and Joshua want rematch in the UK],” said Ruiz to AB Boxing News. “As long as I talk to Al Haymon and my team, we’re going to figure it out where. It really doesn’t matter where, as long as we get back in the ring if we show the fans what they want to see,” said Ruiz.

Ruiz admitted that he’s not certain what the rematch clause says about where the fight will take place. He’s going to speak with his adviser Al Haymon. By now, Ruiz likely has found out whether he has to face Joshua in the UK or not.

“I’d love to have it here [New York] or in LA,” said Ruiz Jr. about wanting the Joshua rematch in the U.S. “I don’t know,” said Ruiz when asked if the rematch with Joshua will happen right away or later on. “I have to look at the contract. I’m the champion. I call the shots now. So we’re going to see what happens.”

That's one of the excuses as to why AJ lost according to his fan boys.

If this was Wilder. The amount of backlash and hate he would receive. :wow:
How would admitting that Joshua got KTFO in sparring with headgear and 20oz gloves on make him look good at all? You shouldn't be getting sparked out by sparring partners. If this were true Joshua would look even worse.

got knocked out in the amateurs by mihai nistor.

nistor was a pretty good amateur. nistor at 5'11 and dawejko at 5'10 says you could be right about that.

He doesn't bend his knees, or tuck his chin. Straight up first 3 months of boxing shyt.

Hearn is claiming that the rematch is going to happen, but we all know how he works. He will make up excuses to blame Haymon/Ruiz's camp for being difficult, and this rematch won't happen. Hard for me to even believe that Joshua actually wants this rematch. Will be surprised if he even fights again this year after the dust settles for him in these next few weeks.

He can’t afford to do that, he has no leverage.

Joshua gonna get laid out again and what little leverage he has is shot.

He fukked around. You'd have been much better off getting Joshua getting laid out in Wembley for $50 milly by Wilder then this shyt. Especially if you see him getting KTFO in sparring. You throw up a bullshyt injury excuse and get the Wilder fight hell or high water. A smart promoter would have done that. Cash him out early and ride his popularity to $$ on the tail end of it.

Bob ain't shyt sometimes but he milked Chavez for the Martinez fight the right way. A good example right there of what to do. He knew that boy wasn't shyt. And he ruined his opponents fighter as Martinez was shot after that fight.

Would have been blockbuster. Then do a rematch, even bigger. He fights 3 or 4 cans for easy money in Europe then a Fury swan song.

He fukked up. BAD.

5-6 month turnaround after getting knocked down 4 times is fukking crazy too. I imagine AJ has a medical suspension too, so his camp won't even be that long. Insane for Hearn to suggest that fight happen again this year.

He gets a 90 day suspension and can't do shyt until Labor Day.

Disaster in the making.

Wait until next April or May. Get a new trainer, new camp get 6-8 months with them.

Call Wlad. Call Lennox. Get some plyometrics and cardio and swimming. Get with Booth or Banks.

December rematch with the same team is a debacle.

Well he can't risk the belts going to Wilder or ALL the negotiating power is gone. I mean it pretty much is now, but he'll be making peanuts should Wilder get those belts first, same with if Fury gets those belts too.

If he goes by your plan, his hope is that Usyk skips the line and get the belts back and then face him but then THAT'S a problem in itself as I feel Usyk will easily beat him.

In other words. He's totally fukked.
