If i'm being honest AJ hasn't looked good since the Vlad fight. This has been coming but I'm not going to act like I thought Ruiz was the one to get it done though.

He had trouble dealing with the shorter Takam,
He was heavily protected against Parker, who was never allowed to fight on the inside by the ref.
Povekin gave him a lot of problems early in their fight.

Since the Vlad fight he has clearly changed his style of boxing to a much more conservative style.
His comments about never wanting to be in a dogfight like the one against Vlad again are really telling...

While I felt that before last Saturday Joshua was the #1 HW in boxing, I shared those same thoughts about how he's not been impressive recently.

I do believe he's gotten too muscular and that bad gas tank of his is NOT going anywhere. He's going to need to run it back with Ruiz asap and get those belts back. I wouldn't even utter Wilder or Fury's name

thats one problem i noticed povetkin was not bending at the knees at times against wlad to make himself smaller when slipping jabs. Then wlad got to lean on him
