Anyone who's the been following with sport all saw the warning signs for dude chin a long time ago.

There's a difference between being hittable and looking like life is being take out of you every single time you get hit.

He's got a Bute chin.
ive heard rumors of him getting dropped in sparring etc...

you never know if its false gossip but...

I want to say the Olympic final, he showed signs. He was gifted that decision as well. He definitely has shown, when it comes to fighting the shorter guys like Takam (not a great performance by AJ but was at short notice) Povetkin probably would of gotten him out of there, if he was 10 years younger and Ruiz did.

From the first round last night, he looked stiff in his movement. Last night just have more credence to Fury's bodybuilder jibes. IDK why but I think AJ over trains, doesn't look as sharp/crisp over his last few fights IMO.

I wonder if he'll leave McCacken now, just so he can get out of his comfort zone. Everything seems to be a bit too easy for him in that environment, maybe he has gone full out First half of Rocky 3.

He needs more cardio and plyometrics.

His muscle movement isn't fluid. It's like a stiff dancer.

It's hard to describe it but I always associated Joshua with a fighter who's being taught how to dance with foot instructions on the ground.

His feet are planted in the right spot and he moves according to what the dance layout. Move left foot here because "A+ B= C".

But ask him to so something on the fly and he's lost. He's a programmed robot.

Like a prototype Eastern European fighter, without the hard as nails chin.

Look no further than the Parker fight when he looked terrified and couldn't pull the trigger against a dude who threw like 8 punches a round.

Watch how everyone will justify their bad shape with this :russ:

Brace yourselves for the “you don’t contend at a beauty contest” and shyt like that.

Being an overweight boxer isn’t good regardless of Ruiz’s win last night and they should generally avoid being overweight, let’s make that clear.
However it was also a good reminder that too much muscles aren’t good/useful either although I’m still not sure if he was fatigued because he simply has shytty stamina or because he got hurt and could never regroup 100%. Probably both.

It sounds bad to say this but there seems to be some validity to what Floyd and Bhop say about getting in the ring with non stiff brothas in the ring.

It's like basketball. You can't just play against a team like the Utah Jazz ala Malone/Stockton where they have a set offense and won't deviate.

You gotta get used to the Warriors too. Kinetic fast paced and unconventional. He can't.

The greats
Floyd
Bhop
Ward

Now
Crawford
Canelo
Spence

Could do it. The Joshua's of the world can't.

It's good for the sport that Joshua lost his 0 because we're still in the Floyd era which sanctified undefeated records. Canelo and Pac all have Ls and they are still draws so it's time we're past Ls classifying dudes as "ain't shyt anymore". Except Marciano, all the great Heavies had Ls so Joshua can rebound from it if he rebuilds himself well. I think he mentally quit at the end of the 6th when he was getting touched up and doing nothing back at all with his hands down and the 7th was just a matter of fact. I think that up until his first KD, he had a good jab going on and was touching Ruiz really well above all when he was mixing the lead hook with it.

Now Ruiz deserves his props too. Many tought he edged the Parker fight and it's obvious dude got very good handspeed for HW and should probably be a Cruiser if he was staying in shape. That said, I didn't think he would pose that much issue to AJ but that's boxing I guess. In that fight dude was very accurate and I also liked that he went to Joshua's body well from the 6th round as you could tell AJ didn't like it (man was probably be mentally done already at that point but still). Plus he really survived his KD well because he ate like 2 or 3 solid good punches from AJ after he got back up and many would have started backing down but dude actually fought fire with fire and thatp aid well.

And to be honest, I don't think that fukked up Wilder's pay day. Pac got KO'd by Marquez while the Floyd fight was marinating and went on to be part of the highest grossing PPV fight ever with him. I think people will still want to see AJ-Wilder though AJ has no leverage any more (belts, undefeated record) but this can still do numbers. That's one part of MMA that I like is that almost everybody have Ls on their record and this doesn't really matter ultimately. AJ has clear flaws but so does Wilder so that match up is still interesting to me but I won't lie, when Ruiz KD'd AJ for the second time in the 3rd, I really thought that Wilder would flatten AJ the moment he connects :lolbron:
