Its thing with all of linares losses being by KO..like if Haney sweet sciencing Linares like he did Gamboa, I can just see the criticism.
That would be impressive if he straight up outwork linares, 4 out of 5 of those kos he was in tough close fights.

But yeah he probably needs ko since thats what fans want.

Yup. He wants to make a statement and hasn’t had a KO in 2 years. Looking at some of his training clips it looks like he has been working on power too.

People forget his last KO was one of the best overhand right KO’s of all time IMO.

One big KO against Linares and that pillow hands bs should go out of the window.

yeah i never thought haney was featherfisted..his temperament is like shakur's except haney had been making an effort to get those KOs before he had to have the shoulder surgery

He wasn't trying to engage Gamboa for some reason either. Gamboa did touch him a few times & maybe he decided to change it up a bit

LAS VEGAS – Jorge Linares made the lightweight limit so comfortably for his fight against Devin Haney that the former champion is confident he could get down to the junior lightweight maximum of 130 pounds if necessary.

The Venezuelan veteran officially weighed 134 pounds Friday for their 12-round, 135-pound championship match Saturday night. Haney stepped on the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s scale at 135 pounds even for a main event DAZN will stream from Mandalay Bay’s Michelob Ultra Arena.

The 22-year-old Haney (25-0, 15 KOs) will make a third defense of his WBC world lightweight title. The Oakland native is listed by most Internet sports books as at least a 12-1 favorite versus Linares (47-5, 29 KOs), who has won world titles in three weight classes.
