I always viewed it as Jey fell back in line to protect Jimmy because he knows Jimmy hasn't actually dealt with Roman the way Jey has. Jimmy won't let Roman treat him the way Roman treated Jey, but Jey has also done a lot to keep Jimmy from being in that position. This goes bback to that Hell in a Cell match. Jey had no problem getting his ass beat, but he quit and lost the match when Roman put Jimmy in that guillotine.

Everything Jey has done has been solely to keep Jimmy from drawing Roman's wrath. Jey has already seen the light via Sami, but even if he went that route, it would mean leaving his brother(s) behind.
A lot of people forget that the whole reason Jey sides with Roman was because of Jimmy

Even at the Royal Rumble you can look back and see for a moment Jey was looking at Sami But Jimmy was looking at Roman But before the Superkick Jimmy hesitated like he knew Sami Was right but it wasn’t the time yesterday he didn’t hesitate on Roman

Nah Jimmy is consistent. What you're missing is that the conditions for his acceptance of things were broken by Roman and Sami.

  1. He literally came back with a shirt that said he's nobody's bytch and told Roman that he wasn't scared of him and wouldn't be punked by him. He joined the Bloodline to look out for Jey and because they told him that they're all stronger together and shyt was sweet and they dominated so why blow that up for Sami who isn't blood? shyt isn't sweet anymore and Roman put hands on him more than once so why wouldn't he deal with him when he told him that's exactly what he'd do if Roman tried to punk him and Jey? He told him.
  2. He was always cool with Sami, just cool, but he was always going to pick Roman over Sami because Sami isn't blood.
The main tenets of the Jimmy Uso character are the fact that he's the backbone and mind of the Usos (Jey's the heart) and his love of family. Roman is more blood to him than Sami so Sami had to go, blood is thicker with Jey than it is with Roman so Roman's got to go. The first thing he told Jey after superkicking Roman is "I am your brother, not him".

It makes perfect sense because he's literally the guy who came out with a shirt that said he's nobody's bytch and told Roman to his face he wouldn't let Roman punk him and neither should Jey. Its his character. The whole Bloodline story is Jey fighting the current and taking longer to come around to things but going harder than everyone else when he does.

He went to hell and back with Roman but rode harder for him and The Bloodline than everyone else when he accepted his role. He rejected Sami longer than everyone else but went harder for him than everyone else when he accepted him. It took him longer than everyone else to accept Sami being gone but he's gone harder at Sami and hasn't held back since he accepted that. It's going to take him longer to accept Roman for who he is but he's going to go harder than everyone when he does. That's the story. Him flipping on Roman first is inconsistent with everything they've shown us about Jey for like 3 years now. It was always going to be Jimmy.

:banderas: breakdown. Hold that rep.

I love that Roman won jut to see people still pissed about it. Like I said, Anyone who is still angry about that only cared about the moment. Once that moment happened people would've turned on him by SummerSlam. Cody winning the title will be a big moment no matter when it happens.

Who is pissed about it? Dude referenced and I asked a question.

The one thing that NOBODY brings up is that when Jimmy was originally on his "I'm Nobody's bytch!" campaign against Roman the only reason he stopped was he caught that DUI in real life....
jimmyuso-mugshot.jpg

So storyline wise Roman had wiseman Heyman "take care" of Jimmy's legal problems in return for Jimmy's loyalty and Jimmy having no other options bow down to Roman....
roman-reigns-hug.gif

So I wouldn't be surprised come Friday if Jimmy is randomly arrested because Roman put in the call like how Tony did Feech....

Which would trigger Jey to go after Roman to save his brother... and it will lowkey make Solo look at Roman funny for taking care of problems in that type of manner starting the riff between them.

Why couldn't they be doing this exact same angle if CAWdy won at WM?
They could’ve. Then they don’t have to spend 2 months dancing around the fact that Cody vs Brock is going on for no reason at all and they could focus on the fact that the whole bloodline angle has always been built around Roman being abusive and manipulative towards his cousins, that he’s gotten such a big head that even after losing to Cody he’s even more pissed at his cousins for both losing and failing to help him retain the title so he lashes out by doing the same exact thing he’s doing anyway.

Also there’s the problem of the champ being a part timer who hasn’t defended the belt in 2 months and basically every year has at least one stretch where he goes 3 months without defending the belt. Also can’t really build any main event level faces or heels when this guy hasn’t lost on his own or eaten a 3 count in almost 4 years.

Damn this prolly the best post I ever seen in TSC :ehh:

Besides all my posts of course

I finally got around to finishing the show

This was a dope ass show. Especially the last main event :banderas:

I just don’t understand why they built Bianca up to have a historic reign just to drop it to Asuka who is already a legend and multi time champ and didn’t need it. If anything Io should have been the one to win the belt from Bianca :gucci:

Solid show. Good main event. I was :dwillhuh: as to why Jimmy was the one to start off the fall, but after watching the video package it makes sense. I wonder if they do some story where Rome forgives them, just to extend the faction until at least SS.

Thought the opener was MOTN.
Call me crazy but I’d say Trish vs Becky was MOTN

Followed by the ME and Brock vs Cody

And I went into the night expecting it to be worst match of the night
