Yeah agreed. Mans was falling in from the opening bell, almost like his legs could barely keep him upright. Hurd probably had a bad camp, got some p*ssy before the fight and just completely lost focus. Those ain't excuses either because that combined with J-rock not backing down and fighting well on the inside led to tonight's result. Hurd got his wake up call and it's time to make changes.
Lol!
Hurd isn’t that good man. His style is be 20lbs heavier than his opponent. What about Hurd would you have a fighter emulate? His jab? No? His hooks? No his punch technique? No his defense? No His heart? I guess. His combinations? Yea he throws good combinations....BC they’re slapping arm punches, but it’s coming from a dude that’s just that much physically bigger. Hurd isn’t that good.

Just one year and one fight removed from Hurd being an unstoppable machine....he gets the shyt beat out of him and almost stopped :mjlol:

People were SUPER gassed after the Lara win. Hurd giving Canelo issues :mjlol:
I never understood why people were so impressed with him beating Lara and Trout. Both of em were well past their primes and not nearly as mobile as they used to be. And really, Trout and Lara were rockin the shyt out of him in those fights. They were easily the more skilled fighters, they just got worn down by the bigger and younger guy. They didn't have the same hunger anymore. That's what happens when you get old.

But last night Hurd wasn't facing another old guy. He was facing somebody who still lives and breathes for boxing. For JRock this fight was everything. This was his moment to redeem himself and go down in history. And he fought like it.

Those victories over Lara and Trout were a gift and a curse for Hurd. They were great experience, but at the same time those fights made him believe every other fighter would fight like an old man. They made him believe every other fighter would fold up when shyt got tough. Hurd really looked shocked when Jrock came right at his neck. He's never had anybody stand their ground and push him back. He was lost. Flat out befuddled. He was lookin at his coach like "this wasn't in the script":why:......obviously his team never prepared him for this situation. And why should they have. Dude is a God damn giant. They figured he could walk through anybody at 154. You seen the inexperience in both Hurd and his team last night. When shyt went left, they all panicked. These muthafukkers put vaseline in his eye balls:mjlol:......not once but twice :mjlol:........they were grabbing handfuls of vaseline and just chuckin at his face. Dude was coming out the corner lookin silly. Hurd's skin prolly glowin today though:wow:

All in all, even though Hurd showed his limitations, I was still impressed with how he fought back. He had no plan B and his team didn't either. So he just kept on fighting the only way he knew and made it a great fight. And I respect that. He just needs to get himself a new trainer. He's learned all he can from this team.

I'm not taking anything away from J-Rock, he fought like a champion and deserved it but i just don't think Hurd was 100% physically :yeshrug:. Maybe bad camp with distractions or maybe weight drained from trying to get down to 154.

I'll admit I was high on J-Rock initially, although since Charlo KO I've cooled off on him. Not simply because he got KO'ed, but because he hasn't looked all that great in the subsequent fights. But last night he showed he I was high on J-Rock in the 1st place.

Big ups to J-Rock, this was definitely a redemption fight for him. Hopefully he can show us in the rematch that he's really here to stay at the top of the division

Hurd in this fight only confirm with everybody who is really observing about the sport really already know.

He used the size to his advantage of older fighters who simply got worn down by a larger guy.

Someone who stood in the pocket and fought fire with fire his team was vastly unprepared for and so is he.

He is food at middleweight.
