44 bricks...acre shaker
A lot of you wrote J-Rock off & were shytting on him after he got clipped by big Charlo which was a super competitive fight (I thought J-Rock was ahead before the stoppage). I knew he could beat Hurd just like I think he can beat little Charlo too if he gets the opportunity

jermall not gone risk his 0 he will continue to nit pick trash and fight until he finally get a ggg or canelo...get a pay day and wont care if he lose after that

jermell..his spirit is hurt...if he loses again..i can bet money u will never jermell again

on the cool both brothers are portrayin something aren't...which Is cocky and confidence they lowkey timid and shy

when its certain ppl around that could give em smoke and give em a L...they humble themselves

Jacobs gave Jermall his first loss without even hittin him

errol is the sameway with everybody...he not extra..and he doesn't nut up when other men in the room he has confidence

a lot ppl hate em because they see thru em...

Interesting how heavily people favor Hurd here. I think he’s vulnerable just as anyone else from 154.

154 is a division with many good fighters but no elite, all of them vulnerable.

Hurd, Lara, Castano, Charlo, Williams, Harrison, Munguia, Soro

All these dudes are close to each other in level and only stylistic matchups and “who has a good/bad day” separates them when they fight each other.
dude called it
After tomorrow night, Hurd gonna be elevated over everyone you tried to lump him in
:mjlol:

The Cosmos
why was it bad?
When they tried to close a cut they kept putting vaseline in his eye. They did it twice. While during the fight, Hurd tried wiping it away with his glove since it started to bother his eye.

Plus, the tape on Hurds glove kept coming loose. The ref stopped the fight a few times to get them to tape it back up again.

Great fight, Hurd's lack of boxing finally caught up to him.
The triangle flaw exposed itself with this fight.
Jrock would get beat by every other elite and probably knocked out, but he had the right physical structure and style for Hurd, who was the top dog.
Its a great fight, hopefully we get a rematch and we can get a new undisputed 154 champ

I don't know if I agree with your opinion of j rock. Dude can really box. He lost to Charlo off one mistake. (that's all it takes) but dude can really fight. Hurd is just a big brawler and he got exposed.
Yea he beat Lara but Lara has always been trash inside.

The Charlos are harder punchers than Hurd and more accurate but they only thrive when an opponent is more offensive minded and willing to exchange with them. They can stay calm in the middle of the storm so they can seriously stomp someone out who get into exchanges with them. Their weakness is when somebody is moving laterally and picking his shots cause then they are just following the guy around and them attacking in straight lines all the time doesn't help either.

If you break 154 down by the classic boxing styles

The boxers of the division are Lara, Harrison, Trout, Garcia (dude who beat Cheeseman)
the boxer-punchers are Williams, Soro, Brook, Charlo and Lubin
the sluggers/brawlers are Munguia and Castano
and the swarmer is Hurd

I don't agree at all with J Rock losing to all other top fighters.

He’s eventually gonna get outboxed tryna walk through everybody . Coming off injury/ring rust aside, That Jobber he fought on the Wilder/Fury card was giving him work ...until Hurd hit him with the Knockout on the elbow
You were right too, he not only outboxed him though but outfought him.

It was hard for the commentators to accept cause even in round 7-8 or so they were talking about how J-Rock needs to avoid in-fighting but eventually he beat Hurd in his own game too, actually by the end Hurd had more success sometimes when he wasn't trying to fight on the inside.

He has been weak inside but typically Lara can make you stay outside and dictate with skill that much.
Jrock would lose a boring techinical boxing match to Lara.
Charlo would hurt him when he tries to flurry.
I think Muniga would blow him out with pressure, forcing him into a shell and eventually getting caught and put down and becoming timid to exchange.

I think Jrock is a very good technical boxer, but I think he lacks the mindset to be a elite fighter, maybe going forward if I see more of this out of him, I'll say he has changed, but this is just a one off in my honest opinion.

Everywhere...You never there.
He emphasized how he got a new Strength & Traditioning Coach during the build up. Really made a difference. He’s always had a good motor but his activity never really fell off at anytime in the fight while Hurd looked gassed as fukk by Mid-Fight. That has a lot to do with how Williams was wearing his ass out from opening bell though.

Even after some years in the pro game , some negroes really don’t fully appreciate the importance of having an a1 team and team execution in such technical areas (pre fight and fight night) . Even tho you may have “gotten by” against some other fighters with a mediocre team , a fight like this just exposes the levels .

Seems like Hurd and all of his team were lunchin ... :snoop:

Nah bro. It was a combination of J-Rock being in his physical prime & taking advantage of Hurd's flaws. His flaws were magnified because J-Rock can box his ass off & has that dog in him

I really do think it’s worth questioning whether his camp was on point , tho ... shyt was just ... off. And the fiasco happening in his corner spoke volumes .

Lara doesn't do a great job keeping people outside. He just does it rain, hail, sleet or snow cause it's all he has.
HE got dropped twice by Angulo if i remember correctly.
II don't know why Mungia is being considered with the elite,he just got his ass kicked by that Irish boy the other day too. And he really ain't shyt
