49ers won in losing. Had they won yesterday, they end up overpaying Garoppolo

I can’t lie I had Alex Smith flashbacks last night. It kinda feels like we miss out on another window because our QB is too pedestrian.

we could have drafted Deshaun (who I wanted) or mahomes, but could have also drafted tubisky which would have set us back half a decade.

Jimmy G :ehh:

I guess he’s a bit of a manager but I figured it’s because he hasn’t had that many starts yet.

Niners ain’t givin up on him yet

Eh. Contract be damned Jimmy is our QB until 2022. There is no QB that will be there this draft class. So that doesn't make sense. If Jimmy makes that throw to Emmanual Sanders or they do a non call on that Kittle catch are we keeping this same energy? Probably not. Long story short is Jimmy elite no but he's already proven he's good enough to make us a perennial playoff contender as long as he stays healthy. I mean that's good enough.

I would try and trade him now

or cut The cap hit isn’t much at all

Every game he has 5-6 passes where they are nowhere near the intended targe

What QB doesnt? Even Brady, Rodgers, Russ, Brees has that happen to them. Mahomes has a few last night.

With that said, @NYC Rebel, you gotta relax breh. Not saying he Brees but imagine that take back in like 2005 or so when he was an injury prone, noodle armed scrub that was starting for the Chargers.

I get some people indeed don’t pan out, but the ones that did (Rodgers, Ben, Brady, Brees, Elway, etc had the time and room to grow).

Eli is about as average as a QB as one can be and even he with the time he was allowed got 2 SBs and Jimmy is a better QB than him with better coaches and better teams

I don't care about Eli, but Eli could push the ball past the sticks when need be. It just became painfully apparent that he needs a run game in order to be effective. Bringing up other qbs really as zero to do with what he does. He needs to be at least somewhat accurate beyond his first read. Kittle was open much more often than Jimmy helped him.

He is consistent with having passes nowhere near the target much worse then the guys you listed. For the type of passing game they run his accuracy is not very good.

And we know the NFL is a take away league. The running game isn't guaranteed to be the same next year as the league adjusts to them. I would feel more confident if Jimmy wasn't so abject off on his passes as he is on passes non-play action related and forced to scan the field.

Dude is a game manager at best . They win yesterday’s game and Jimmy wins MVP, they are overpaying for a very average qb for the next 7 years. I think they know they have to continue looking for a qb. They avoided an albatross around their necks.

Lol you been on this Garoppolo crusade all night and day. Did somebody in your life scream "JIMMY G IS A GREAT QB!!" to you last week or some shyt
