He wasn't asked to do much in those games. Last at throws past 20 yards. Last in 3rd down conversion. Last in attempts.
Again. His stats were deceiving. Half the game last year he attempted less than 25 passes.
Props to him for being efficient but he's severely limited.

they went to afc championship twice with a 'garbage' qb in his rookie and second year.
peyton manning by comparison didnt get to 2 afc championships until his 7th year. and one time he actually won something his defense carried him
Defense and winning the turnover battle helps. But good QB's have the ability to overcome that. Alex, does not. Plain and simple.
Fez was a rookie and 2nd year QB. We're talking about a dude in his 8th year. Regardless. I get what you're saying... Fez still has something Alex does not have...and that's balls. Alex is too timid for his own good.
Definitely agree, and i don't know why. They might be trying to transition, but they had faith in Alex not to fukk up and play the game last year but not this year with more weapons.
Each week there is more and more kaepernick so it seems like it's trending one way, but they should look at this game as a warning sign.
Pick one or the other, because this switching isn't helping anyone
they went to the AFC title game and lost to two teams with better QB's. Eventually the qb has to make a play and sustain drives. Its a league driven around offense not defense.

They didn't go after him aggressively enough. I guarantee he'da signed there if they'da put the press on him like Denver did.
San Fran was/is ready to win right now. The Broncos are still a work in progress.
I think that is the big difference, and it's not on some Alex is terrible shyt, but Eli is a HOF level QB.

again, you dont address my point. fez went to afc championship in his first two years, while it took for a hof qb like peyton 4 years to reach his first afc championship and 7 to reach the second one

our d, especially our secondary, played like garbage today. and it wasnt eli throwing pinpoint perfect passes, it was wideouts like cruz beating the brakes off culliver and rogers so a HoF-level qb like eli could complete easy passes deep.

Nah breh..that dont have anything to do with it. Harbaugh wasnt gonna let Peyton have full reign over the offense. Peyton wanted freedom like in Indy..Denver offered him the chance to do that

Are you really going to deny that the QB isnt the most important piece for a football team?
Peyton early in his career struggled in the big spot. Those Colts teams went to the playoffs every single season with Manning under center and he was the biggest reason why. He leaves and the team stinks the following year.
Defenses fluctuate from year to year. Turnovers can be flukey. Your QB is your rock for the most part. Teams with elite QB's are competitive every season.
As far as Sanchez the defense isnt as good and neither is the running game and Sanchez stinks as does the team. Having an all world running game with all pro linemen every season isnt realistic. Having your type 5 pick moping around like his dog died every week doesnt help either. If Sanchez were an actual top 5 talent the Jets would be a much better team and much better off. Theyre still looking for a quarterback.
