Why do people say there's something wrong with asking. I'm a woman, and I'd want to know if it was some crazy number. I had a guy friend tell me that he had a friend who had sex with 60 something girls. Mind you, were 19 so his friend was in his late teens/early twenties as well. It was off putting to hear such a high number

Edit: "we were 19"

Update: Wow, didn't expect to get this much feedback. Truth is, I have decided to swallow my pride and stay with her. I didn't want to create an awkward valentine's day so I went through the motions as it was still bothering me but now I have decided to cherish what we have and move forward from that. Honestly, never thought I would be that guy and am glad she revealed the skeleton in the closet before someone else did. I did wish I was more out there in my younger days.

I understand what your getting at but at the end of the day it’s about fidelity. I would not trust a woman with a history of so many sexual partners to be faithful. I’ve dealt with women of that sort and their idea of faithfulness was making the other guys in her roster use condoms while giving the guy she “loves”bare sex :mjlol:

There is something pathological about promiscuity at that level 90% of the time . They just don’t wake up and become faithful one day.
I won't dive into particular numbers/cutoffs cuz people have different opinions. But projecting a certain mindset, or inability to be faithful onto a person just cuz they have a high number is stupid. A chick who has 20 partners and they all came from relationships or when she was single is a lot more trustworthy than a chick with 7 where 3 came from repeated train sessions and two more came while she was cheating on her boyfriend.

Every man (except my first boyfriend) I have ever been with has asked this question though. So actually normal men do care about their partners sexual past, and for good reason. What, every guy who speaks about it online isn’t normal? You can argue there’s a certain demographic on message boards, but on other forms of media? They’re not normal? Really? No normal people wonder about that? Riiiight.

In fact I’m keeping my opinion on the matter pretty straight forward, they generally do not like women with a high body count. And you know a lot women aren’t honest about that for a reason, not even in this era of slut walks. You can put any spin on it you like, say I’m breaking character or whatever if that makes what I’m saying easier to digest. Doesn’t change that fact.
I've never been asked this...not by a boyfriend, a fukk buddy, or even my friends. Only ppl to ask me have been doctors.

I don't have many friends who have had this asked often (if at all) either.

Both of you are lying or deal with men with low standards, I say respectfully.

There is no way you can date a man and not discuss your dating history.

Your history will eventually come up and you just choose what details you want revealed.
My serious relationships the history of past girlfriends (or lackthereof) has been a point of discussion, as well as sexual health...not numbers and chicks they were just fukking with no strings attached, these men have also inquired about my relationships, not # of sexual partners.

The whole way men think about a Women's body count is bizarre. Women are not men. They think and process differently than us. A body count of 45 at 27, tells me that hse does not see sex as a very important thing. So she just gives it away to any guy who might come along. If you don't feel the same way about sex, then you should leave her. No need to make this overly complicated.

All these mental gymnastics. Look, No man wants a whore for a wife. Even the brehs who hav gone out and sown their oats ain't looking to settle down w/ one of them, ideally. A promiscuous woman is still seen as a shameful thing. Both genders know this. I respect brehs decision and genuinely wish him the best b/c again I've been there n done that.

 Doing that you might create resentment between her and yourself in the future becuase of that nagging feeling in the back of your mind
