Rock still in the ring, selling that beat down #GOAT
It would've made sense that Austin manipulated Vince to get back to the top, but what do you do afterwards? You can't just rehash Austin vs McMahon after it began in 1997 and went all the way into the summer of 1999. Any ideas?
Brehs help me out on something.... I've always debated exactly when the Attitude Era was officially over. The Attitude Era Podcast says that once WrestleMania 17 ended that it was officially the end.... I say it ended later but I don't know exactly when.
that was the climax to me. especially with austin turning heel.Brehs help me out on something.... I've always debated exactly the Attitude Era was officially over. Triple H was meant to be a face against Austin, but he didn't want to do thatHmmm...off the top of my head? Have Vince get behind somebody else to take out Austin? HHH?? HHH did have a W over Austin at No Way Out. That in itself is kinda rehashing the McMahon/Helmsley era though. shyt man idk lol
This was the end. The early stages of the invasion began at backlash with shane getting in the ring against test. The cornerstone of the era was Austin vs McMahon. With that coming to a close at wrestlemania, I can't think of any other point.Brehs help me out on something.... I've always debated exactly when the Attitude Era was officially over. Probably as soon as the invasion angle completely started, since the ruthless aggression era didn't start till 2002Brehs help me out on something.... They also had faced off in the summer and fall of 1999 already and had their blowoff match at no way out already. Can't revisit a feud. If Austin doesn't turn, I really can't figure out where he goes from there. I'm gonna make a couple threads of this variety about where you go with characters at some point when their arc closes.Hmmm...off the top of my head? It makes you appreciate the later years of the New Generation Era even more because everyone had multiple feuds and multiple enemies all at the same time.... once one feud ended you had multiple options of the next feud for the wrestlersThey also had faced off in the summer and fall of 1999 already and had their blowoff match at no way out already. I wanna say WM19.

I see both men getting boo'd out the building, the ref will be the biggest babyface in that matchCould ya'll ever see that ending here once Cena and Reigns eventually happens at WM?
Made it feel relatable and real. Guys didn't just drift aimlessly. They interacted with each other even in throwaway one off segments and always seemed to have a feeling of purpose in the show, that management knew that mattered to the program. I quote punk all the time, but here's another gem from him in 2014 that obviously needs to add one more name to it: "they have no plans going forward for anyone ever, except for cena. That's all they care about.". When he was their best heel in 2009-10, they had him on smackdown with no clue what to do with him and Vince legit not knowing he could work as a heel to the point that for 18 months, he wrote his own angles, not because he had creative controls, but because management had no idea what to do with him. Can you imagine that happening prior to 2004-06? I can't.It makes you appreciate the later years of the New Generation Era even more because everyone had multiple feuds and multiple enemies all at the same time.... once one feud ended you had multiple options of the next feud for the wrestlers
Idk breh, I could see Cena getting cheered in that match heavy over RomanI see both men getting boo'd out the building, the ref will be the biggest babyface in that match
