A 34-year-old man was shot in his head, back and leg in the 3400 block of West Walnut Street in East Garfield Park at 3:47 a.m. Sunday, Mirabelli said. A friend drove the man to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Few details are available because the victim was uncooperative, police said.

I was watching Vice the other day. Apparently, when the projects were torn down, they relocated rival gangs into the same neighborhoods. So now they are in close proximity with each other and they are also beefing with long term residents of the areas they are moving into.

Chicago PD must be goddamn useless. Just do what NYPD did and saturate the South Side hotspots with officers and units. You let off nowadays here in NY and chances are police will be close enough to hear it. and get their in no time at all. LOL @ cats shooting on bicycles and still getting away. that's because city officials will not release the real stats do to chicago being a nice tourism city and they don't want to scare people with real numbers..
