Point I was trying to address is, black americans in a better position need to give back or lookout for people coming from economically disadvantaged neighborhoods. Not everyone in these neighborhoods are involved in gangbanging(most aren't). These communities are largely filled with people trying to change and better their circumstances. It doesn't help when black people of affluence have zero connections with black people trying to better themselves. In America, black people have to work twice as hard, for half the success of other races, and this is merely from the perspective of more well off African Americans. People in less areas of affluence face: structural, social, and systematic issues which make it a million times harder to defy the odds, stacked against them.
One example of me regularly giving back is through mentoring young cats. The past few months, I've been making sure a couple young cats in their senior year of hs, stay on task to graduate and as well as helped them apply to 4 year universities on time. I've been engaged with their parents to make sure they took the SAT. I also advised them when / how to apply for scholarships and Fasfa. That's legitimately all the dedication peeps of affluence need to do. It's really that simple. A lot of parents who didnt go to college, are baffled by the process of applying, so I'm able to help them navigate that terrain . I'm not part any mentoring program either. I offer my time to help these kids pro bono. I help out every young african american student aspiring to go to college. I let them know how to pay for it, what to expect, when to apply, xyz.
Why? Because when I went to school out here, there were hardly any african americans on campus. Matter of fact, most of the black people on campus are Africans. And with that, there's still not many black people on college campuses in california. I want to see more brehs and brehettes in higher education. I'm tired of seeing my people working low wage, service jobs in the city. But it doesn't help when I don't see any black people in higher education.
Point is, if people ain't out here actively trying make a difference, then I don't give a fukk about their opinion.
Right so black americans, in a better position shouldn't try to help out others when they can? Gotcha.....

Little 7 yo black girl just got popped in Houston. 18 yo black girl just got popped on NYE in Dallas at a party. 13 yo black girl got killed in Baltimore a month or so ago. These aren’t poverty issues. These are low character/culture issues. You can be poor and still have some morals and decency even if you’re doing dirt to put food on the table. You keep ducking my inquiries about incidents of people in Southeast LA and the Valley doing shyt like this because you can’t find any. Chicanos in these areas are just as poor (if not poorer) than people in various other inner cities across the country but they have regulations, strong families and their culture hasn’t been contaminated by music that promotes the killing of their own people

I mean you really can't live in the hood though. You got a job paying $75k a year, you can't pull up in no new car. You can't have nice shyt in yo house. You can't have the freshest clothes. My house in North Memphis got broken in like 2 times when I was a kid. Car got broken in too.
