That statement was more me taking a shots at people who always try to speak on LA, like they understand the dynamics and plight of black people living in the city. Most people tend to have a skewed sense of LA, because they only visit West LA, Santa Monica and Hollywood. They then make assessments about black people, off of the few black people they see in tourist areas. I'm just saying they're too scared / or have no idea about the part of LA that most black people live in.I mean you really can't live in the hood though. You got a job paying $75k a year, you can't pull up in no new car. You can't have nice shyt in yo house. You can't have the freshest clothes. My house in North Memphis got broken in like 2 times when I was a kid. Car got broken in too.
You give me a brand new Mercedes and best believe im watching my surroundings 24/7 especially in the hood. Some of these dudes in here might be soft, I know I'm not. I'm just saying you gotta have yo head on swivel
I don't know why y'all argue that the hood is all cool n shyt. It ain't. Folks out there will Rob and kill you over anything of value. And we not even talking about Dope Fiends. They really gone try to rob yo ass. Sounds like you got major clout in your hood where you can do whatever and ain't nobody gone do anything.
With that said, I already addressed a couple posts up, what more affluent or well off black people should be doing to help. It's very minor shyt like looking out for the next cats on a come up, then extending a helping hand to guide peeps through the process.
