The wait is the worst part. I was surprised it was 8 episodes instead of 10, they're really holding out on us.Just finished this. WOW.
I was gonna sleep on this but kept seeing folks talk about it. Definitely was dope.
Only thing that I don’t like was the short season.
I remember years ago there was a mini war for folks who like long 13-22 ep show seasons and those who like short 6-8 ep season.
Unfortunately y’all shortDiseason loving peeps won and we gotta suffer for it
Now we gotta wait what 2-3 years just to get another season?
I thought the show was great and I liked how they included a breh physicists
They explain it in episode 3, keep watching if you haven't gotten to that episode.

Fell off after episode 5 to me. I'm curious about watching the Chinese version Even though it's 30 episodes. I hear it's more faithful and they created the five friends who had never hang out and real life instead of one in the book. I have the book too but I never read it.

Raised By Wolves and it got stupid in the second season. This, on the other hand, had well developed characters, an interesting mystery for the first half of the season and left me wanting to see how weird this shyt will get in the following seasons. Slicing up the ship with nanofibers was the point where I knew I’m a fan. Wade is my kind of leader.

I'd think they would allow that first ship to be sent off into orbit to provide hope.. but went off course and left that cliffhanger there..
Even the whole "countdown" how were they able to alter the reality of certain people to see an illusion but then claim to be a less advanced society. And even how there photon computer works is real "magic wand wavey" type explanation.
Binged this on Monday while at home sick. Dope show for sure, love how they touched so many topics from aliens, to religion, to future tech.

They didn't claim to be a less advanced society... they are far more advanced. Their concern is that we advance at a faster pace than them (partially due to their home environment) and that we will be further advanced and more advanced than them by the time they reach us. That is why they are sabotaging our Science.
They explain the science in the books... I doubt many people could sit through that in a Netflix TV series lol. The books detail all the science to the point that it is all very believable...
