Just finished this. WOW.

I was gonna sleep on this but kept seeing folks talk about it. Definitely was dope.

Only thing that I don’t like was the short season.

I remember years ago there was a mini war for folks who like long 13-22 ep show seasons and those who like short 6-8 ep season.

Unfortunately y’all short Di season loving peeps won and we gotta suffer for it



Now we gotta wait what 2-3 years just to get another season?

I'll definitely watch soon, love the books. Liu Cixin also has some great short stories. One (Age of Angels) is about an African scientist who engineers flying people and they give the American army that work

True story: when I lived in China 20 years ago I met a famous Chinese sci fi author (Wu Yan). He told me at the time Liu Cixin was the next big talent. I got a bunch of his books before any were even translated. I remember thinking that dude was fire...and then 3 body problem came out in China.

I thought, maybe I could make a name for myself if I translated these. But of course life got in the way

Couldn't have said it better myself... The 'Judgement Day' scene is to 3 Body Problem what Ned Stark getting merked is to GoT... It keeps the audience on their toes and unsure of what to expect, but it's just an appetizer for The Red Wedding lol.

Its an interesting concept but I felt the script was terribly written. Like i know its a sci-fi and it centers around scientists so they are supposed to sound smart but everything comes across as robotic and inauthentic. I couldn't get into the interpersonal relationships either.

I think the my favorite part are the Maoist China era scenes/
