I'm broke boy so I don't even look at European car, but I did want a VW Golf GTI

This is what I was going for but my broke ass just settled for a civic. My mechanic does well with Japanese cars so meh.

Were you in the market for a brand new golf/GTI breh? Is your civic a SI or Sport btw?

Only German company I really fukk with like that is Mercedes Benz/AMG. Have never really seen those in the shop, but a BMW stay up on hooks waiting for repairs.

It's weird though, my pops has never had to get his fixed up and he's had it for like 10 years now :jbhmm:

Cost benefit analysis applies to EVERYTHING in life.

You want the benefit of flexing....but don't want to or cannot afford to pay the cost of upkeep. Go elsewhere.

Most ppl treat their cars like shyt. They wait until something fails catastrophically to fix an issue. They don't perform regular maintenance etc. That is some of the problem.

I've owned 3 BMWs and they are great cars to drive/own, but if you're not mechanically inclined stay away from BMWs outside of their warranty period UNLESS the benefit (personal satisfaction/fun driving experience/flexing) is worth the cost.

The other thing I tell ppl to do is find a reputable INDEPENDENT BMW service station - they have them in just about every major city. Usually started/staffed by ppl who previously worked for dealers but hourly rates are maybe 50% cheaper. Go to bimmerforums or one of the other BMW specific forums and ask for recommendations.

Reliable, sports utility vehicle. Grown folk shyt.
Nga ive had an Audi Q7 for a year now that would shyt all over that Lexus in most every metric and all I’ve had to replace was an accessory belt tensioner :mjlol:

Japanese cars are too linear and appliance like for me. No character, soul, fun to drive experiences found in any modern Japanese car I’ve driven not named Miata :beli:

With German cars you really have to know
A. What you are really looking at
B. Staying completely on top of maintenance with what is needed currently as well as what could be coming up due to age and mileage.

I took my Audi to one of them because the transmission was slipping. Almost 2 weeks had gone by and I walked in and surprised them one day to see how they were doing... The engine was out and parts were all over the place :snoop: they didn't know what the hell there were doing.
