That’s wild Mox is a 4x AEW world champ (5 if u include interim) and outside that Punk is the only other multi time AEW world champ :stopitslime:

Mox got 1/3 the number of title reigns as total title reigns. Him and Punk together got like half of them (6/7 out of 13/14) :dwillhuh:

The crowd seemed to know and love Shinsuke when he showed up in NXT a decade ago.

I don't see White as that guy. I could see him in a role like The Miz. King of the midcard but can slot into the main event when needed. At least White can wrestle though.

ChuTweaked't.

I have to honestly ask you. How you brought up a no talent racist the miz in comparison to Jay white.

Just bogus.

Jay White got the talent too to be a star in the E if they let him cook
I don't think he'd be a star, but I do think he'd be a top level heel. And I think Triple H would book him well, because his heel psychology is similar to that of Randy Orton or Seth Rollins. Both of whom can be traced back to Triple H.

Hunter would probably look at Switchblade and say "he reminds me of myself

The NXT crowd always had a rep for being the indy fanbase within WWE, so of course they were already up on Nakamura.

I think Finn Balor would be a better comparison. But I truly believe if he was in WWE that Switchblade could be 1 of the biggest heels in the company.

In my mind though, there's no reason that Jay couldn't be on the level of a Gunther. And I like Gunther, but I don't think he does anything better than Switch (at least not marginally better that is)

Yea like I said in the Revolution thread, I don’t even hate the Death Riders angle. Mox being champ is wack but even that ain’t that big a problem :ehh:

The fact the AEW world title hasn’t been seen in well over half a year is :mjtf:

That’s the main thing making this angle so trash :hhh:

Yeah they need to start distributing it more broadly. The main event talent is there to justify it

Longtime talents (as in multiple years) who could be champs, even as a short transitional champ…
  1. Darby
  2. Cassidy
  3. Kingston
  4. Ospreay
  5. Jay White
  6. Takeshyta
  7. Adam Cole if he ever gets back to his pre-ankle injury self
  8. Okada
  9. Fletcher
  10. Hobbs
  11. Christian - this list not in any order other than Christian being at the bottom. If you have him like a one-month reign as a heel champ I wouldn’t be completely opposed to it.
Add in newcomers (less than one year)…
  1. Lashley
  2. Shelton
  3. Ricochet
  4. Speedball
  5. Josh Alexander - need a decent sample size of Speedball and Josh’s AEW tenure to see how they work out for the non-work-rate stuff.
And then all the below one-time champs who are more than good enough and over enough to be champ again
  1. MJF
  2. Omega
  3. Hangman
  4. Swerve
  5. Joe
Danielson would be on that list if he was still a full-timer. Have no interest in a part-timer being world champ.
