That sounds very cool on paper but does WWE have the Bret Hart type of talent to pull that off in 2025?that kinda angle requires a massive talent and the right type of crowd to not only get the desired reaction but to also really work as a memorable match/ending that will last the test of time.
I would say due to chemistry with Cena and knowing how to tell a good story? Punk. Dont really see anyone else on the roster who has a chance of pulling it off. Also have Heyman involved in some capacity even if it's off screen writing.
It could be a good way to turn Cody heel and ride off the momentum of retiring Cena moving forward. But this would require Cody and Cena to be kept apart for most of year post Mania. Do we see that happening? Not really.
With that said ideally with Cena retiring you would want him putting over someone new (to counter this can argue Cena has been putting over the newer guys anyway). But like you said you need a skilled worker and the skilled guys are either already heel or older and even then you need someone with a great mind for storytelling and psychology to attempt it. And not some spamming idiot.

I'm not gonna lie, as a fan of Cody this John Cena turn has put Cody in a rough spot.
I think the fans will cheer Cena even more now and boo Cody more. That is unless they do some real evil shyt that you got no choice but to boo Cena.
Bringing up make a wish children in a negative light will keep his heat.

We were marking out so much I didn’t notice the crowd or announcers having subpar reactions
I watched the turn again this morning. The visuals were great, everyone played their role perfectly. The crowd was solid, could have been a little better. Cole was pretty good. Wade was good. Pat was awful.

I don't think it'll happen but if any women's match in 2025 can main event a WM it would be Bianca and Rhea. The card placement is going to be interesting. Only thing we know for sure is it's Cena/Cody Night 2

This actually sounds like what they should do , people are going to want it to happen immediately and by the summer they will say “Tripple K” dropped the ball on the black stars again. When in reality you have to slow the booking down so that it can last a longer time. They know most people don’t sit through 3 hours of TV weekly and they just watch YouTube highlights anyway. My girl only sits in on the trash shows and she sat in on the new day heel turn but hated the whole time. I’m jealousWe’ve all been critical of Triple H and justifiably so, and who knows how Mania will shake out, but last night was one of the best nights in the history of wrestling as far as I’m concerned.
It feels like all the stuff stemming from the men and women’s chamber was planned for quite sometime, but because the pieces needed where absent (Jade and Cena), they stalled out and dragged until the last minute.
Last night was my first time watching a PLE with my girlfriend. She was so into it and excited brehs. I’m getting teary eyed just thinking about it.
