Somehow I'm NOT surprised. From watching two or three of his interviews he definitely doesn't seem like a dummy. He seemed fairly intelligent and could put words together well and was honestly, well spoken. Now his raps? Dude sounds ignant.
Don't see a problem with this. I was top 2% at my high school and some of the worst and most dangerous kids at my high school were right along with me when it was awards time and recognition days...they were top 1-10% of the class, not all but a nice number of them. Then when I got to college (st johns uni) I saw real drug dealin in the dorms (no snitch) and even saw guys who were dealin, pay tutuition with drug funds...shyt was unreal, but I saw nikkas doin what they had to do to make that legit bread with the illegal funds

Well I guess that's why Chainz isn't considered great by ANY stretch of the imagination...dude can't draw from personal experience thus his raps are usually trash (save for a guest spot or another artist SAVING his song from utter basura-ness)
Dude is garbage, but was smart enough to be patient and stick to his lane, and for that, I can't hate on him...wish I was smart/gifted/talented enough. To put words together to rhyme and make millions
