So is the issue trans people or an ignorant and gulliable public that'll believe any absurd conspiracy? I feel like even if Dems abandoned championing trans rights some new absurd conspiracy will be used against them. Dems need to stop letting the right define them and desperately need to create their own media ecosystem that rivals what's on the right. We need our own propaganda machine that stirs people's emotions and primal fears. The electorate is a mob that can be swayed in almost any direction with the right propaganda.

Fear is the last thing the left needs.

When people are afraid the default instinct is conserve. Doing nothing or going back will always be an easier sell.

Every time immigrants comes up it’s take/steal language that gets people.

Counter with most drugs are being brought in by American citizens…deaf ears

Somehow people nowhere near the border are surrounded by illegals taking jobs but don’t know anyone using illegal drugs I guess

The craziest thing is, with final returns in - Harris is going to lose every swing state and have more votes than Biden in 5 of them and performed better than both Hillary and Biden with white voters. She lost because her gains with white voters were offset by losses among people of color and the youth. Seeing that, I know why the people I know on the campaign thought they would win. They didn’t expect those demographics to switch up on them.

Also, the less likely someone is to watch the news - the more likely they were to vote Trump. The Democratic Party can no longer afford to take any people of color for granted and better come up with some tangible shyt for 2026 and beyond.

I don’t know about that. Spending time here has warped my perception of how people look at things in real life. When I talk to people in real life about these cabinet picks and second term, people dismiss me like I’m just being an alarmist. Alot of people in real life tend to minimize or dismiss the danger posed by Trump.

It’s like people completely forgot that one of his last acts was trying to overthrow the government. Maybe if the DOJ had treated Jan 6 as treason most normies wouldn’t normalize what Trump does.

Besides Biden and Blinken, I can’t name a person I hate more than Merrick in this administration.

Almost none of the voters on either side, besides the highly educated/highly online know or care about cabinet picks. That's a huge disconnect, and probably a major part of the issue, that voters don't feel connected to the process of politics. But one candidate was able to make them feel connected and another wasn't. Some of them are dangerous, and others, to me, I think are just a different direction.

This narrative about a network on the left.....for one there kinda is, Pod Save America and two, they DID THAT IN 2016! It was called Resistance, and it turned every issue into a shadowy conspiracy linking Trump to Russia. I followed that part of the SC closely, and was never convinced, but I learned a lot of about government. However, to win elections, it did next to nothing. Inciting hatred and fear is not a winning strategy for Democrats.

Even Roland Martin admits he told the campaign these ads were a problem and the Dems were slow to respond. Yall really can’t be told shyt about this issue and this is another example why.
