You keep insisting on driving the conversation toward Robinson's skill set.
I keep saying that's not the whole story.

Because the draft isn't about just taking good players. It matters where you get them.
Bijan is going to change the entire face of one side of the ball for that team. He was selected at the perfect place because he is Marshall Faulk, 2.0 in terms of skill. You pay top dollar for that

You used a KICKER drafted TWENTY-THREE years ago at least 100 spots ahead of the next player at his position to discuss a RUNNING BACK who was drafted FOUR picks before the next one :gucci:
You see it

If he's the 2023 Marshall Faulk and the Falcons become the new Greatest Show on Turf, then yeah...fine. I'll loudly admit to you that he was worth the 8th overall pick.

Marshall Faulk was a great player before he became a Ram. Acting as if Marshall Faulk needed the greatest show on turf to be considered worthy of where he was selected is dumb.

If the Falcons fall short of being the greatest show on turf, it doesn’t make Robinson any less a great player worthy of his selection :childplease:

Marshall Faulk wasn't as impactful a player until he was on the Rams.

You just want to go back and forth for the sake of conversation at this point.

Marshall Faulk wasn’t utilized as an impactful player that he could’ve been prior to joining the Rams. Now you’re putting the Rams success solely on Marshall, not the other parts, such as Hall of Famer, Kurt, Warner, and potential Hall of Famer Torry ****.

Just stop

Not at all.

I’m telling you Faulk was more impactful on the Rams precisely because Warner and Hollt and Bruce were there.

This should tell you something. QB and WR are more valuable parts of an offense.

Maybe that’s why they’re drafted ahead of RBs.

Maybe that’s why the Falcons should have taken one of them, or an OL/DL instead of a RB.

I mean we didn’t really have to go thru all these comments for you to finally come around to the truth.

He was impactful because of his own abilities

Jesus Christ, dude.

The point I was making was about value. You really think I'm comparing Janikowski to Robinson?
You cannot be fukking serious.

:why:
You used one of the greatest draft outliers OF ALL TIME
to make a broad point about draft value.

.

Panthers were stupid trading up for Bryce Young when Tom Brady was drafted in the 6th, right?

Why draft a QB at all? Kurt Warner wasn't :troll:

Look at how much easier Saquan makes Daniel Jones life, or CMac for Purdy. All-purpose backs can elevate entire offenses. Teams have devalued RBs but special ones still are targeted early because teams realize the cumulative effect they can have on an offense beyond stats. There is no guarantee Bijan would’ve still been there any later. Just like any position they can be a bust but if you hit on a special one it’s totally worth it.

I think the more this thread goes on, the more you guys act like I’m saying Bijan Robinson has no value.

And that’s never been what I’ve said or implied.

And yet the Giants dont want to pay him and both him and Cmac have had a problem staying healthy
