I just hate the "value" talk during the draft. So called "analysts" have ruined a lot of the coverage and discussion.

If a guy can play, who cares what position he plays or where a team took him.
Well, to counter point, the Jags did take a punter over Russell Wilson then didn’t even bother to keep him come contract time 😂

it was a surprising pick in the moment but Gibbs is a true gamebreaker

I also said this the next day during the draft:

I was an admirer of this Lions team before yall become trendy and won 12 games last year. I saw it coming as a Bears fan
You've definitely been onboard with the moves from the start. You could see the vision with the personnel the way a lot of us Lions fans could. Lions drafted players that fit exactly what they were trying to build. While all the experts were screaming about positional value, the Lions front office was busy seating guys that fit their culture and their scheme, and surprise, those players are now extremely successful and so is the team.

Im so envious of what y'all have built from the top down - whether it be roster, coaching staff, or just general philosophy. Its rare I would root for a divisional rival, but I would love to see the Lions win it all. This team/fanbase deserves it. I also see people thinking the train will stop rolling once Ben & Aaron leave to take HC jobs, but I think Brad/Dan have built such a strong organization that guys like Tanner Engstrand & Kelvin Sheppard will be ready to step in and maintain the standards set. Great leadership breeds more leaders.
