I never will understand why WBD wanted them to get rid of it as a condition of the Collision deal. But ROH has sort of essentially been a Dark replacement. Though not as many matches are done on ROH as Dark since ROH is at least a half assed attempt at a real weekly show whereas Dark was just nothing but few minute long matches.

Finn is a world class talent, has an unwavering work ethic and is a consummate professional. You can plug him in almost anywhere & unless you actively sabotage him, he will work. You'd be a fukking moron to not resign a guy of that caliber.

Unfortunately for him, the main event scene is crowded at the moment and they've got guys they've invested a lot of time and stories into that have dibs ahead of him BUT he had a very credible story of his own that got some real run for the World Title. That's a thread that was never resolved and they can return to with no problem, World Champion that never lost is a layup for crowd investment given TV time and consistency.
