That Bogaerts contract is fukking awful just like the Turner one. Declining slugging and OPS for four straight years and he just turned 30.

It feels like they're unintentionally sabotaging themselves by operating like they're the Rays even though they have money. The Rays would've probably traded him last year though if they weren't signing him. It feels like they're aiming to live in the basement of the AL East.

Nico rates neck & neck with Swanson in all the defensive metrics(played 300 less innings)& offensively they’re similar .except hoerner don’t strike out not even close to as much ,Swanson hits for more power . Not paying either that ,either pay correa or build the farm up to 2015-2016 levels

I get wanting to rebuild your farm but you still have to put a product on the field and Devers is a homegrown product right? I would think they would want to do short highish AAV contracts to try a little and if the team isn't good enough, flip em for something later. They made trades this year that made sense like they were fake trying. It's not making any sense to me.

Like I kinda get how the Yankees are moving and even though they aren't going Cohen mode but you can see the plan and they're still spending a lot.

That’s my biggest frustration with the team

They been trying to do this half contend half rebuild the system and it’s not working…. Pick a direction!

And if they were gonna go all in on a rebuild, they should have traded jd, eovaldi, Xander etc

I can’t say I wanted to give Xander 11 years but they could have resigned him last offseason for $200 million on a more favorable deal
