That was a rumor , I want the cubs to sign a good offensive & defensive shortstop(correa), they already have an elite defensive ss in hoerner to move to 2b.with no shift next season & a staff of ground ball pitchers infield defense is critical. Padres just throwing money around recklessly

Well for the cubs sake hopefully it was a rumor, even though why did he say go spend to compete but was about to trade your all stars and let the all star catcher go in free agency

Cuz the cubs want better run prevention,game calling ,framing ,defense ,blocking pitches etc like how the Astros are.Contreras good offensively below average defensively
