Blood bath (electoral) incoming…

She's right. These dudes fear power. They'd rather be along for the ride with no responsibility. There are a lot of things Biden simply can't do, I get it. But he's not even doing the things he can do. Remember Obama's second term where he said fukk it and just did whatever he could do? It worked. I'm blown away Biden has never even tried to be that aggressive or combative. Surely he understands that WHEN republicans take over he will never get a damn thing done again. Might not even get any judges (not talking about the Supreme Court). It's going to be pure obstruction in 2023 and 2024 going into the election.

At this point I'm over it man. I have a great job, make good money, nothing the government does has a major impact on me beyond taxes. I'm not spending another minute defending Biden after the bullshyt of this week. Falling for an obvious rope-a-dope and not even demanding a vote. DARE Manchin to vote down BBB instead of letting him dictate shyt. Put it on the floor.

How much a fight can we really expect a 79 year old whose becoming senile to have?

I can't think of any other reason for Biden's reasoning. Is the man just too old for the job?

I really am sorry you and a lot of people got played. He just said shyt to get elected. Nothing in Biden’s career showed he worked for anyone other than the Delaware corporations.

No one was played.
Biden got the nod because he had the best chance to defeat Trump, not because he was going to be transformative or further the lefts agenda…

…the moment he beat Trump it was mission accomplished.

im disgusted with the disgruntled socialists. no one elected them to change america in 2020. maybe in 30 years, but not now. people want gas prices down, not some bullshyt about electric cars 15 years from now

We got to be honest the dems could’ve put a brain dead monkey against trump and won. That man was all time unpopular. Dems just didnt like his(bernie) policies because of obvious reasons and decided to back Biden because thing wouldn’t “fundamentally change” under him. The democratic primaries was basically the fight for presidency.

I don't even feel like I got played. He was the most electable and beat Trump. Going forward I thought sure he'd want to be a consequential president, somewhat popular etc. A lot of this would look different if inflation wasn't wild. He'd be at or slightly below 50%, economy is great, etc. But inflation has people fukked up and since presidents don't control that, all you can do is stack wins. IE give people money and benefits and pray the fed saves you. BBB seemed like a good way to do that. Cancelling student loans seemed like a good way to do that. Neither is getting done, and they're gonna ride into 2022 promising a voting rights bill fight that will inevitably end in failure. It's wild.

What's the situation like if you get BBB done in November by any means, cancel student loan debt in December, and roll into 2022 ready to fight on voting rights? You're still getting fukked by inflation but at least you have a gameplan and accomplishments.

People want to talk about corporations and shyt but self preservation is the number one motive...and I don't see any self preservation from Biden. He's living in some other land.

But we don't have 30 years nor do we have 15 years. These aren't normal times. The challenges we face are existential.

Imma put it to you all like this, Joe Biden was never popular and was anointed by the Obama machine. He won one primary and Obama made the phone call and everyone got in line. Biden never had to campaign or put together a ground game. He never had to even engage with voters like that. He was in Delaware for seven months.

Where did he play people? He ran a campaign saying he would do things that he obviously couldn’t or had no interest. No one ever thought Biden would be a transformational president, so don’t be like the dummies and argue in bad faith. People are upset because he isn’t doing what he said he would and doesn’t even have interest in helping his party succeed.
He was the most electable and beat Trump.
We gotta stop thinking about this shyt in this made up media garbage. Vote for the best candidate, not “most electable.”

The term might've been made up by the media, but people always have voted strategically. Not really realistic to expect otherwise.

Whether this strategy pays off is a different story (I'm not saying it always does) but fear of losing the general election is always going to be the biggest factor in a primary. People don't like risk. :yeshrug:
