After Zelina put on that facade then came back crawling less than a year later, I ignore all the angry tweets. And WWE knows this.

If they ever need any talent back, they know the talent will come back.

-bigger rosters = more cuts
-dirt sheets get the full lists right as they happen
-social media allow for fast spreading and exposure of information

Nxt was competing for the same neckbeard audience as AEW. Hhh knew he wasn't getting the keys the main brand till Vince dies or he sells. So he focused on building his super indy and winning over the internet who hates him. Even before USA they were selling out the same arenas that the E was in for Takeovers. There titles were mentioned on Raw/SD. The goal was for them to be a 3rd brand before AEW. AEW just accelerated things. The E way is to crush the competition before they can grow(see NXT UK). They thought it was sweet vs AEW. Then the pandemic happened and NXTs tv cracks were too obvious to ignore. And the distance began to grow between the two.
