Gobert was in the middle breh, his presence was a clear problem for them. And some of the shots they missed were straight bunnies.

This breakdown is wild.

USA from 3pt: 10-32

USA from midrange outside key: 1-11

USA inside key but not at rim: 9-14 (nearly all of those were Adebayo and KD)

USA at rim (within circle): 5-12


USA was 8-10 inside the key in the 1st quarter when they were getting a bunch of fastbreak points. The rest of the game they went just 6-16 in the key.


France went 1-7 from 3pt and committed 6 turnovers in the first quarter, leading to a bunch of USA fastbreaks. Once they cut down on that, there WERE no easy buckets for anyone on the team under 7'. They weren't making the bunnies and they were getting good looks from 3pt and midrange but weren't making those either.

If that poster is watching the games then he doesn't understand basketball for shyt. Draymond is the best passer on the team and pretty much the only player actively setting other guys up, and he's playing good defense too. No one who has a fukking clue would say that Draymond is the problem right now.

Yes that's a problem in selection, I said that from the beginning. But you claimed "literally anyone would be better". Since Draymond is the best passer and interior defender on the team, it would OBVIOUSLY not be better to replace him with some random player. If you watched the game today Draymond was not "the problem" or "a problem". He was doing what he could.

I don’t disagree with any of these points. I’m just saying the game didn’t look as bad as I thought it would be. With that being said, these nikkas SHOULD be blowing the frenchies out.
