Pop gotta play with these pieces in the next two games and find that 'winning lineup', egos be damned. Czech and Iran SHOULDN'T be a problem, so find that 5. This is just the beginning. Before, it was America didn't send ANY of their star players (1988) then it was America didn't send their BEST players (2004).

But NOW, they have no one to rely on to fix this. This is basically 2004 with POP as larry brown and no Kobe in sight (Bron too old).

They gotta change the NBA game starting with superstar treatments. Give more leeway to the defense for a change, then you will see who the real scorers are and who been frauds.

USA getting bronze or silver is a GOOD THING for the league.

He played maybe a minute or two lol. Missed two shots, and one rimmed in and out. Hard to be 'trash' in a minute. Especially with how bad some of these other players were playing, Booker included, who got plenty of run.

Spamming threes had NOTHING to do with why the USA lost. They shot just 15-37 from 2pt range and those #'s would have been even worse if it wasn't for all the fast breaks. Gobert was turning away or affecting almost everything inside plus a few layins just rolled out unlucky. Since they weren't hitting midrange J's any better than they were 3pts that wouldn't have helped either. Then on the other end Gobert and Fall were scoring on dunks and free throws. USA just didn't have the bigs to match up.

Fournier spammed way more threes than anyone else on the court and scored half his points that way, but the main reason France won was that they were just plain bigger inside.

These games are just a representation of the U.S in the world. Losing power and influence. Might not even win the gold medal count.

That doesn't really mean anything. The USA doesn't have a giant nationally dedicated program to stockpile gold medals in obscure sports. Most of China's golds come from diving, weightlifting, shooting, badminton, and table tennis cause they literally did a study to determine which sports were the least competitive with the highest medal count and then have run a 30-year program spending hundreds of millions of dollars to develop athletes in those specific sports.

USA could win every basketball, soccer, baseball, and softball gold and it would hardly affect their medal count while China gonna get 7-8 golds from diving alone which is a sport no one I've ever met in my entire life competes in.
