Never thought I'd ever see nor say this, but when they came out of a timeout a little more than 3 mins into the 4th, Pop had a deer in the headlights stare, like he didn't have any answers. He already looks like he quit on this team, and you know what, I think the squad has thrown in the towel too. Like they are all ready to just get this shyt over with, and have no issue going out sad :picard:
It's possible that Popovich isn't the best coach to get the most out of current players and their skill set anymore.

It's an unfortunate reality but hey....:manny:

I wonder if the Olympics starting before free agency is why Lowry didn’t go

Pretty sure that's why. He sat out a lot of games at the end of the year to stay healthy and he's been saying he wants a long term contract instead of the one year extension that he got last year

Lemongrass, cherries, alkaline water
The staff and players are just too comfortable and casual about losing. There might be some questionable player selections but Pop didn’t instill a culture with the group. Coach K ran a military operation with Team USA, he made sure them boys knew what it meant to put on that jersey.

The problem isn’t playmakin imo, I think the problem is the lack of perimeter defense, it trickles down into other problems like bigs having to help so they are out of position for rebounds, and constant buckets stops any transition offense from happening

A good % of the perimeter players on US are Swiss cheese on D so unless multiple players are goin for 20+ in a half court setting, the US is gonna get strapped
a usa team scoring 11 points in a quarter and shooting 40% most of a game is sheer madness :manny:

the defense is shaky too but great scorers being unable to score is worse than guys who can't hide on d getting exposed as expected imo

49ers..Braves..Celtics

He can’t be the coach of the program going forward man…

He's propping up the French to take the pressure off himself and his own guys. France had a good gameplan and even you see a guy like Fall.. the seven footer came in and gave them quality minutes and our "bigs" didn't really know what to do with him..

PG x MD
He’s a legit player though
He's a solid nba starter sure but come on. In that playoff series vs the Nets he avg 15 ppg, never scoring over 18 in a single game over 5 games. They let him go off for 28...mind you FIBA plays 8 less min overall than a nba game. So if this were a NBA game he might have dropped 35+. His career high is 32

Great scorers get a lot of easy buckets in the open court, U can’t get that if U can’t get stops that lead to transition

a half court game is where the lack of a true playmaker would be glaring, and that’s what they’re gettin into witout perimeter defenders to force stops
