Just finished watching the press conference. Eppler is a Cashman clone IMO which makes me indifferent. He will be following all the popular GM ways of thinking right now which I don't particularly like but whatever. The good news is Cohen and Eppler are on some money is no object shyt. Mets are spending big this off season.

There is plenty of talent out there in free agency without a QO attached. They better do it right though.
I do like using money in lieu of trading low on guys or trading from the farm.

The strategy I would implement would be to trade as many of the underachieving position players for prosepects as possible and then fill the gaps with free agents on 2 -5 year deals as prosepects slowly mature to big leaguers.
