@intra vires I don't think it's irrelevant to the point if you said that she signed on to Sanders' bill but doesn't mention it on her website and doesn't mention anything about eliminating the things that make it medicare for all. She was on Colbert two days ago and couldn't answer whether middle class taxes go up(they will). 0:45 mark in the spoiler. Colbert gave her a great defense of M4A tbh

Yes you're right about the ratfukking that's going to happen whether Sanders or Warren get into office but healthcare is by far my number one issue so I would like to see her clarify and become a stronger defender of it. I'm already scarred from the Obama years
Warren has defended M4A multiple times on the biggest stages. Remember this?

and this?

and this?

and this?

She has never come out with a separate, watered down M4A plan like Pete or Kamala, she has consistently said she's with Bernie on this and hasn't wavered. The reason she's changing the framing on these tax increase gotcha questions is because she's not trying to gift Trump and the RNC with some soundbite gold for the general. I personally don't think it would hurt as much as her team thinks it would, but she's dodging for noble reasons.

@King Kreole breh even with all of that she's been non committal and it contradicts things she's done later. Go to her website and look how light it is on details, doesn't mention the meat of the medicare for all issues and still includes private insurance. It calls for her improving insurers’ compliance & Medicaid to tackle the opioid crisis. Medicaid and other insurers would not exist in Jayapal and Sanders' medicare for all bill! All means everyone has Medicare.

This isn't the first time she hasn't been able to answer the middle class but I'll do it for her -- We are going to eliminate the private tax you’re currently paying to your health insurance company but raising your public tax and that will be less that you’re paying in premiums, deductibles & copays. We’re actually cutting taxes.

People who care about this want a serious commitment. We don’t want to hear or read about “access” because “access to health care” is the technocratic nonsense that means light improvements to the ACA

People are who are anti-m4a are noticing this language as well in my previous post two days ago and even that little fukking squirt Mayo Pete can see it

On a debate stage how can Warren compete against Trump on taxes? This is the 2nd time she's dodged taxes going up with her plan. Trump can easily say he cut taxes via tax reform (regardless of how tax reform messed people up) while she will increase them. Game over.

Isn’t tariffs a tax? :francis:

Can you imagine the president stalking warren around the stage? The president needs to be reminded of his tax cut — he will not bring up taxes.
